Since the Target deals are usually of the "your mileage may vary" type, let's keep all the target clearance deals in this thread.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance without making the store clerk unlock the display case and price-scan a bunch of games. Very often, games may be on sale, but will not be marked as such.

BigDirty came up with this nice time saver. Respect his cheap ass skills.

1) Check this thread for games that have been reported on clearance.

2) Go to www.half.com, http://bits.com/ or similar website and search for the game to locate its UPC code number. Its in the grey box underneath the box art graphic.

3) Go to www.schworak.com/upc/ , www.milk.com/barcode/ , or www.upcdatabase.com and enter the code so you can print out the UPC.

4) Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts and search for cheap ass deals!

FYI: "When a game's price ends with 8 cents, further reduction is possible, when it ends in 4 cents, that's the ball game, pick it up cause it's not going any lower. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." - BigDirty

When posting what you have found, please note the location that you found it at, example:

Philadelphia, PA
Snyder Plaza

Game Name, System, Price

(This edit from Big Dirty)

Bufalo NY Target Plaza:

.hack pt3- $20.xx
I-ninja (NGC)- $20.xx
that nuke looking sound system- $22.xx

horrible year so far for the targets near me (clearence-wise) :(

I went on sunday and saw Klonoa in the $15 pile. It's a favorite title of mine. I also saw THUG for $16.88 until Saturday.

Edit: On The GBA
East Windsor NJ
Princeton, NJ
Command and Conquer Red Strike (PC)- $3.74
Menlo Park, NJ-
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (PS2)- $4.98
Hey Big D, would you mind picking either of these games up forme? I can pay for them and all.. Or maybe we can trade? I will PM you....

I can now confirm that all of the following have fallen to the $7.48 price point for Xbox in Baltimore, MD:

Aliens vs. Predator: Extinction
Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb
Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl
Star Wars: Jedi Knight 2, Jedi Outcast

FDL, WI-
Hulk (PC)- $9.98
XIII(PC)-$9.98
Big Mutha Truckers (PC)-$5.98
Red Alert Ex. Pack(PC)-$4.98

Not the best this time...

Not clearance, but Mission Impossible (PS2 & XBox) was price cut to 19.99 and Deus Ex for the XBox was price cut to 39.99. Very slow week, but the clearance prices will go through tomorrow so hopefully there's some good deals there

They had a stack of Max Paynes of 9.99 and a few copies of Midnight Club 2 for 9.99 also. (Both for XBox)

can anyone confirm that the PS1/LCD combo deal is still $35? Also how does that "A-Bomb" shaped thing compare to a 5.1 surround sound setup? (mine was only $70 so its not like the best but it does good) and is Aliens VS. Predator Extinction worth $7.48?
Columbia MD

NBA Volume 2 - $9.98
Need for Speed 2 - $4.88
Both are in the display.

The sounds system is $29.xx

Take Care,
Matthew
Hey Matthew,

Were they both for PS2, GC or XB? Thanks! I may go this weekend, there's probably still a good chance they'll be there since they're behind the case.

They were both for Xbox. They are in the display case, but the case is now open for anyone to look through. Let me know if I can help.
Take Care,
Matthew

If anyone can get an extra MoH frontline or MK Deadly Alliance for the cube at the 4.98 price pm me and let me know if we can work something out.

I have the same question about PS2-MGS2:Substance, or any of the games that BigDirty listed on the last page before this one... So basically, I would love any help from you NJ people...

I've never done the target clearance thing. Do I just get the barcodes from games that I'd like to buy and scan them to see what price comes up? Also, does anyone know if it would work to download the barcodes to my pocket pc and scan them from that? I don't want to have to carry a whole bunch of printed out barcodes to target.

:
can you tell me what this system was called? i wants me one

El Cerrito, CA
.hack 3 14.98 (I got the last copy)
Tons of X box Wireless adapters 33.98
Sim Golf 6.xx
Rise of Nations 14.98
A lot more PC games.

:!: If someone could get me a Crazy Taxi: Catch a Ride (GBA) for $7.48 I would be forever greatful. I will also pay you something extra for your troubles. Thanks. :!:

Lucky, I can never find anything good at the El Cerrito Target. I usually go to the Pinole one now, which had a stack of .hack 3's for 14.98 in the value aisle.

In Aventura FL,
I just picked up:

Alien vs. Predator(xbox) $7.48 none left.
NBA Street vol. 2 (xbox) $9.98 none left.
SSX Tricky (GCN) $4.98 about 8 left in the case. ( The guy there didn't want to take it out cause he was so sure that it was full price. He didn't realize that it was in the wrong place. I insisted and he finally pulled one out and scanned it for me and was totally surprised at the price. He even stated that a batch of them had just come in).

Picked up Need For Speed 2 for Xbox and pretty much had to fight for the 4.98 price. The sticker on the copies said 4.98 but the price in the system still said 19.99. Finally got one though

Does anyone know if CC or BB would price match any game that is bought at Target. Figuring the deals that we get going to Target, it would be sweet to get them that much cheaper. For those prices though the receipt usually doesn't show the name of the title which could mean that they wouldn't believe you. I just picked up NBA Street vol. 2 for $9.98 so they would have to give me the game at 110% of the difference.

They wouldn't price match because the price is a clearance price, not a sale price, and it is not advertised in any ad or website. If you find a nice cashier or manager, though, you might get lucky.

Damn , I have to go to Target again. Need for speed 2 xbox was coming up at $19.99 at those red price check stations. There was no sap at the actual register in the electronics dept. to actually check it in the system.

Whatever shows up on the price checkers will be the same at the registers. The only time it's different at Target is if it shows up $0 at the price checker. Then they have to gun it and it'll usually ring up something ridiculously low (much to my delight). Not all prices are the same at all Targets. It depends on the manager there and what discounts he wants to make.
Lucky, I can never find anything good at the El Cerrito Target.
Probably because I already bought it.

Benton Harbor, MI Target

Max Payne-Xbox $9.XX
Silent Hill 2:Restless Dreams-Xbox $9.XX
Silent Hill 3-PS2 $20.XX

Considering Silent Hill 2, not sure if i'll actually play it. I got mechassault for $5 today, that game's fun.
aww why does the appleton target have to suck so bad?
lol, because WI Targets all suck... I was gonna check there if we did a trade for the BOX, but I guess I better not,lol...

Im goin to my Target soon... Will post deals I find, if any.
Sonic Pinball Party is on Clearance for 14.08.
DEFINITELY worth it if you don't have it. It's a great GBA game, and it's a Target exclusive, IIRC.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like all of the Targets here in Southeast Michigan haven't had anything new on clearance in months...All that I've seen added as of late are a few scattered PC titles, none of which are any good.

Oh well...I'll find something cool eventually...

Target on Route 30 near Valpo in Indiana had some interesting things....

Those SpongeBob televisions that were originally $129.99 are now $49.00.

They also had a 19" Magnavox DVD/HI Fi VCR TV Combo player for $200.00. Though I'm as broke as can be I had to pick that up. May actually return it...have to see how much buyer's remorse I have...

I'll be glad to pay somebody for one of those sale priced Wireless Xbox G Adapters. Name your price, CAG'ers!!!

I just went to my local target today and used the method of printing out the UPC symbols and scanning them, so I did that and some of them showed up in the computer while others didn't. The ones that did show up were cheap, but when I went back to the case with all the games they didn't have any of them. I was just wondering if they were sold out and the prices were left in the computer, or what? If you could help me out I'd really apperciate it.

Yes, even though it still recognizes the upc code and is in their computer, it doesn't mean it is in stock.

Went to the brand new local Target and they NO clearance games at all....just crappy PC ones. Needless to say, I liked the old one better
Mad Catz Beat Pad (for DDR) - $10
