Since the Target deals are usually of the "your mileage may vary" type, let's keep all the target clearance deals in this thread.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance without making the store clerk unlock the display case and price-scan a bunch of games. Very often, games may be on sale, but will not be marked as such.

BigDirty came up with this nice time saver. Respect his cheap ass skills.

1) Check this thread for games that have been reported on clearance.

2) Go to www.half.com, http://bits.com/ or similar website and search for the game to locate its UPC code number. Its in the grey box underneath the box art graphic.

3) Go to www.schworak.com/upc/ , www.milk.com/barcode/ , or www.upcdatabase.com and enter the code so you can print out the UPC.

4) Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts and search for cheap ass deals!

FYI: "When a game's price ends with 8 cents, further reduction is possible, when it ends in 4 cents, that's the ball game, pick it up cause it's not going any lower. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." - BigDirty

When posting what you have found, please note the location that you found it at, example:

Philadelphia, PA
Snyder Plaza

Game Name, System, Price
This is probably a stupid question but are the target clearance games separated into their own section or are they mixed in with the regular priced games? I went to my target today and couldn't find any clearance items.
It depends on each store. Some may have a clearance rack while some dont have one at all. The Target that I go to has a Greatest Hits section and sometimes, the clearance games are in there somewhere. Sometimes, the games are behind the glass display and it will probably be on the ground instead of on a rack and it usually has a clearance sticker on it.

I went to 2 of the fort Wayne Indiana targets today. The one by Glenbrook mall and the one by southtown mall. The one off of stellhorn was closed for remodeling. Anyways I checked a ton of games at each. Many games I thought I had seen on this thread and sadly none of them seemed to be any less then 19.99 or 29.99. The only sorta deal was Pikman for 15.00. All the places they had clearance raks were empty except for a few weiner computer games.

Just letting you all know so you dont waste your time like I did. Ackk.

I am gonna order Mario Party 5 off of Ebgames.com for 33.74 ate least I know i got some kind of deal today =P

Twisted Metal Black $4.98
would this work?

You know how when you get engaged and go to register somewhere for your gifts, they give you the gun to zap everything in. So lets say you set up a mock wedding account at target. You now have the gun in your hand. So you go on a scanning rampage, scanning every single game in the place while your on your rampage. As you scan, it shows you the price on the gun. This is a good way to find out what games are on sale for without asking the henchman from target to scan it. I am pretty sure it scans through the glass case, so you don't have to be obvious. Now you've scanned everything. You can then go to the machine that shows all the items that were scanned in and the prices. Now delete the ones that aren't on sale and print out your list of sale items. Good crap in theory isn't it. Who wants to try it? All you need is A. A willing person of the opposite sex, or same sex if you are in certain states, to act like your fiance. B. You should offer her like britneys dance beat or something for her/his help.

The great thing about setting up a wedding registry is this. You can go to other target stores all over the country and pull up the list of sale games at any target. Like I could pull up anyones registry at target that is getting married. What I propose is this. Whoever does this deed should issue out ,online, the name that there wedding registry is under. Now, everyone on this site can go to targets all across the country and pull up the sale items from a wedding registry list. If your registry was under Jack Smack.. I could go to target's little machine and put in Search for wedding registry. ..By name : Ok Jack Smack.... What city/state. Atlanta, GA...Whereever and it pulls the list up. Hit print. go to electronics and go home happy. Would this work ?????
Instead of this, just ask the Target Team Member to open the case for you. I work at Target, in the electronics section, and I for one am not trying to stop people from getting good deals. The games are clearanced to get rid of them! No Target Team Member should be annoyed by you asking to get a game from the case, or check a price. But if you do want to annoy someone who works at target, refer to them as a team member. LOL. :?

Is that the Target on Nassau Park Blvd? I went there the other day and almost all the good Xbox games seemed to be cleaned out.

That's the one, the place seemed to be ransacked when I went in yesterday. There we hardly any PS2 GHs, and the XBX section on the back end was pretty dry, as well as the gamecube seciton.

Plano, TX Target

Clock Tower - 4.98
Mace Griffen - 4.98
SOCOM w/ headset - 7.48

It seems like all targets have similar games on sale around the same time.

Yeah, except mine are always a step or two behind (same game, double the price). Any game that is found by others for $4.98 is ~$10 ($7.48 is ~$15, etc.) at the Targets around me, if the game is even there.

James Bond 007 nightfire on the cube for $17.88 ... not a great price, but it does end in an "8" . . .

I'll be keeping my eye on it for when it drops under $10

I don't feel like reading through 36 pages worth of things, but has anyone in the Austin, Texas area found any deals? I went to the one at Research and Peyton Gin and they didn't have crap. If you've been to the Cedar Park, Ben White, or any other location in Austin please tell me if you've found anything.

Oh yeah... the other day when I went to Target I saw one of those wedding registry machines and started playing around with it. First thing I did was look up Mr. and Mrs. Smack. I guess no one was stup.. *ahem* brave enough to put that in yet hehe.

Anyways, I hate this thread (and CC one)... you give me hope that I'll find some deals.. but there is nothing left ... you hear me? nothing..

*sob* oh well I'll check again next week
Anyone find anything at the Ann Arbor Target buy Best Buy, Media play ect?
that's just the sale price for this week. To coincide with 007:EoN being released.

I went to a Target at Mall 205 in Portland, OR last night... no clearance PS2 deals... I found a couple of other games in clearance, which I passed on. Here's what I found.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone PSX $14 (Lots of these)
Driver 2 PSX GH $11.98 (1 copy left)

Went to a few different Targets on a little road trip I had to make this weekend from Northern to Central Cali. Finally got in on some clearance items as my local Target had nothing. Picked up

Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets $4.98 (GCN) - I hate Harry Potter (movies) but this actually got decent reviews, so I can forgive that and just enjoy the game for $5. Got Last one.

Pikmin $14.99 - Technically not a clearance item but less than the normal 19.99. Been looking for this for $10 out the door but no luck.

These were both at the Yuba City, Ca Target.

I picked up megaman network for 7.48. That was about all they had, Except for about 20 copies of Dragon Ball Z card game for GBA. Those were at 5.00 but didnt look interesting.

They also had two lcd ps1 combos for 75$ knocked down from last weeks price of 104.

Who thinks I should get one now, and who thinks I should wait until next week and try my luck? There were three last week.

So I guessed I lied about there not being any deals at the Targets in Austin, let alone the Target at Research and Peyton Gin. I went there today and found Stuntman for $4.98 and Arc the Lad for $7.48. There were at least 2 of each left, so if you live in the Austin area I would suggest going for them. Today has been a hell of a day for me, I got 3rd in defender's contest \:D/ and I found these deals 8) , I'm also going to the Target in Cedar Park during work tonight. I'll post if I find any deals.

Buffalo, NY Target Plaza:

Found one lone copy of Mace Griffin for 4.98. Whats interesting to note is that devil may cry had been clerenced to 2.00, but an employie bought em all up!! :(

Should have asked for the manager. If the employee was on the clock when he/she bought those I would think you could get their ass in trouble.

At the very least I would call Tagets corperate office and complain about it, you never know you might get a discount coupon.

Finally found some of this stuff.

Ducanville Tex:

Mega Man Transmission - Marked 29.99 - rang up $7.48 ( 2 or 3 left )

Chaos Legion $9.98

They also had but I didn't have them scan -

Kya (PS2)
Clone Wars (PS2)
Clocktower

Cedar Hill Texas still had a couple of copies of Mace Griffon for $4.98, and Kya for $7.48

I just got back from the Super Target in Cedar Park, and I was able to get Ape Escape 2 for $4.38 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein(PS2) for $6.58. They had only 2 copies of RTCW left, but they had at least 40 copies of Ape Escape 2, I'm not kidding. Thought I'd give the Austin people the heads up.

Picked up Summer Heat Beach Volleyball (PS2) and Clock Tower 3 (PS2) for $4.98 each tonight. Bought Clock Tower 3 last week at Target for $9.98. Luckily I didn't open it yet so I can return it tomorrow. I still have 28 games unopened, lol. CAG rules!

I was lucky enough to find somebody's stashed copy of Clock Tower 3 (PS2) hidden behine a bunch of GH titles. I quickly ran over to the price scanner machine and confirmed it was still 4.98, which it was. Thanks CAG!!

I'm just a newbie here, and I must admit that this site is an absolutely priceless resource of information for cheap ass gamers like myself. I've picked up Breath of Fire V and Freaky Fliers for $7 each at Circuit City.

My question though is whether or not anybody knows is the Targets in either Framingham, MA or Westboro, MA are having clearance sales? I've tried to look around in this topic and I've found only 1 game available on sale at the Framingham, MA store: Evil Dead: Fist Full of Boomstick.

Can anybody help me out on this? Thanks.

The sales fluctuate day to day it seems so something on sale at one location one day might be more expensive the next and such. You're better off just going to the stores and price checking the games you want yourself. =/

I hit the other 3 Targets I knew about in Austin: I-35 & Parmer, Ben White, and Oak Hill, and the only thing I found was Mace Griffin at the Oak Hill Target. They had 3 copies, but after I left, the clerk looked like he was taking them out of the case for either himself or moving them. I got it for 4.98 by the way. Good luck...I'm still pissed I haven't found Chaos Legion yet though.

Just a warning...If you buy a clearanced item and try to return it, they are supposed to return it for the current clearance price. Meaning they should only give you $5 back instead of $10.

Are you sure about that? I thought that rule only applied to holiday and seasonal merchandise.

Like if you buy a Christmas item at 30% off and you return it when Christmas items are 90% off, you would get back the 90% off price.

just an update on the Bufalo, NY target seems they have phatasy star online eps 1&2 (xbox) for 9.98, it was advertised at 29.99 and was behind the glass case, but rang up 9.98. Was alien vs Preditor also on clearence (xbox) because it too had 29.99 price on it and i remeber something about that game being really cheap...
