The Top 10 Games of All Time - for YOUR Demographic

Comparing Top Lists applying different filters can be fun/interesting. So here's a little game for you.

- Go to this site All-Time Top games chart where every games are ranked by "us" (gamers like you and me, not critics)
- Apply all the filters that apply to you (e.g., I would put "Male," "France," and "Born 1980-1984")
- Post the top 10 results of the list here!
- Please specify which filters you used to get your list.
- Post your own Top 25 link to see how close you are to your brethren :)

If you haven't done so already, go make your own Top 25 to influence these lists and have a better representation of the general opinion.

Here's what I get:

Yeah.... I wouldn't pick any of those on the list. I'm not sure if I could make up a top 25 though. Especially getting them in order. Here's some games I'd put on my list though:

Way too heavy on FF for me, but most of the others sans Chrono Trigger and the first zelda would be in my top 10. I'd put Mass Effect 2 above ME1 as well (its 12 in the list they made).

It's missing some games like Super Mario World, SMB3, etc. that would probably be in my all time top 10 in place of some of the JRPGs. The top 25 or so probably has what I'd make my overall top 10, but that's in flux and I don't have a firm list. Just a couple zelda games, a couple mario games, super metroid at the top, the mass effect series, gears of war series, Oblivion etc.--hard to cut down to 10 or put in any specific order.
 
@all: you have to realize the fact that our unikGamer community is at its beginning at the moment. There are only over 1,3oo users right now. It's up to us to spread the word and get more people involved, so that we have a more representative result. So please do so and tell all your friends.

The only ones in my Top-10 that I'd actually put there are LttP and OoT. I will say I was pleased as punch to see Panzer Dragoon Saga at #28.

6. Portal - Yup, another good one.
7. Half-Life 2 - Better than the top 4 I was given.
8. The Legend of Zelda: A link to the past - No.
9. FFVI - No.
10. Shadow of the Colossus - Excellent.

I guess we're in the exact same demographic. The Zelda series is my all-time favorite, although I place the original over both LttP and Ocarina. And I'd put RPGs such as Lunar, Skies of Arcadia, and Phantasy Star above any of the Final Fantasy series. Interesting site!

And I love how they lump me with 80 year olds (the oldest category is "Born before 1970"). Wow, what a wonderfully depressing site. Thanks for nothing OP! ;)

OK, if I exclude U.S. (and just say all countries) I do get a list. So, apparently here is the list for old dudes:

Forza 3
STALKER Clear Sky
STALKER Call of Pripyat
STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl
Half-Life
Tomb Raider
Gran Turismo

That's it - just 7. Methinks they need some more data points before having this be anything close to useful!

Interestingly enough, if I say "All Genders" and just go with age, I get a better list that includes stuff like Fallout 3, Oblivion, Civilization, Plants vs Zombies, Dragon Age Origins, etc...
 
Far, far too much Zelda, Mario and Pokemon on that list for my liking.:razz:

My top 10 would look something like this:

1. Red Dead Redemption
2. Zombies Ate My Neighbors
3. Cool Spot
4. Cyborg Justice
5. Mortal Kombat(Trilogy, most likely)
6. Robot Alchemic Drive
7. Grand Theft Auto Vice City(kid in the 80's, grew up on the music)
8. Beyond Oasis
9. Uncharted(and Uncharted 2)
10. Midway's Arcade Treasures(original one on PS2 with MK 2, etc)
