I cannot believe the number of people on the internet who talk about District 9 and think Wikus' name is Vikus, Vickers, Victor, or some other name that starts with a "V".
You should have stayed 'til after the credits.

Are you some kind of vagina?
zew, was the scene where
Wikus' wife talks about the metal flower left on her door, and it shows Wikus creating the metal flower
before or after the credits?

Before. There isn't anything after the credits. I just said that to mess with JJ because I hate him.

Aight.

We both know Tarantino jerks off to feet and only feet.

Dude, i knew there wasn't.

Please get that tattoo, please. Right on the very top of your neck where everyone can see it. :)

How's District 9 doing in the box office? It was totally set up for a sequel, and it would be a shame if we didn't get one because of poor sales.

DISTRICT 9

Domestic Total as of Aug. 30, 2009: $90,813,000 (Estimate)Production Budget: $30 million

I'd say it's in good shape.

If that is the case, I hope he continues to masturbate furiously at his own picture whilst writing.
DarthPuma is simple minded.
That's unfair. I agree that the movie had a satisfying ending and isn't necessary. However, I really enjoyed the setting and the characters and the lore, and I would love to see more of it.

Why do you doubt the fact that I'm an atheist, prmononoke?

Mojimbo, munch, any other Beatles fans, you need to pick up the newest Rolling Stone and read the article in there about why they broke up. It's really fascinating, and sheds a lot of light on the whole event. Even if it means sitting in Barnes and Noble for twenty minutes reading it, it shouldn't be missed.

I'll do that.

And Guit?r H?ro 5, from what little I've played, is great. It reminds of Guitar Hero II. Playing as my avatar is a lot of fun.

I fucking hate this online class shit my history teacher makes us do. He said he was letting one of the quizzes we had to do run through today, so I assumed I had until midnight. He closed it at 8:35. I missed the quiz by five fucking minutes. Shit.
I mentioned this earlier but stories from the UK version of PSM and OXM came out this week in the UK. I've seen the PSM scans and a part of the OXM pics but still waiting on proper OXM scans. I thought I'd repost all of the information learned. Most of the info in both articles is the same although like I said, I'm waiting for real OXM scans to really understand what was printed there myself instead of relying on second hand information. I've left out any of the story information. I sort of prefer that stuff myself to remain spoiler free but here was the other relevant info.

* Kill Streaks confirmed to exist from the range of 3 to 15. You will be able to assign them before a game although no exact confirmation on how but most likely through something similar to the barracks option in COD 4 wouldn't seem to be an unreasonable speculation.
* It will function as an either or situation. For example a less experienced or less good player might want to only stick to the short kill streak rewards but a more skilled or higher level player may want to stick to the longer streak rewards for example since they are more powerful.
* Grenades have post lob physics meaning they will roll after you toss them. For instance if you tossed them up an incline they could roll back towards you.
* Spec Ops missions are split into five category groupings which go from easier to more difficult. They are:

Alpha
Bravo
Charlie
Delta
Echo

* Alpha has 5 missions. Echo has 3 three. The rest unknown.
* You begin with all of the Alpha missions unlocked and the rest of categories being locked. Each Spec Op mission has three difficulty levels. You get one star for beating the easy difficulty level and 3 stars for the hardest difficulty level. The more stars you earn is how you unlock the Bravo, Charlie, Delta, etc missions.
* Both players have to have unlocked up to the level of the mission you are playing. Meaning if you haven't unlocked Echo missions you can't play them online with somebody who has until you've unlocked them yourself.
* The Spec Op missions have variation between them. Some are elimination style missions where you have to go against a set number of AI like in the leaked video or the end of the mission in One Shot, One Kill in COD 4 where you had to hold off waves of guys until the helicopter arrived. Others might be snowmobile time trial missions or a level where one guy is in the AC-130 and the other guy is on the ground as an example.
* Spec Ops mode only has enemy AI called "juggernauts" which are bad guys wearing body armor so they either take more damage to kill or you need a higher caliber weapon to take them down.

That's pretty much all the useful info. There are some other small story related stuff but like I said I don't like listing that stuff. When some decent scans are made of the OXM article I'll take out the relevant info and update this post.
Looks like one of the co-op missions has one guy on the ground and another in an AC-130 gunship.

So awesome.
Who can spend 10 grand on an hour of sitting in the same room as Howard Stern but can't afford to let people use their Play Asia affiliate links because CAG "puts food on (his) table."
It is his money and his website he can do whatever he wants with it. Who are you to judge how he spends his money? It was obviously a decision that he and his wife made and they felt they had the discretionary income to spend on it. Plus if he even gets CAG mentioned once or twice he is going to reach an whole new set of people who wouldn't know about his website.

As far as the affiliate link goes, I don't understand why it is so hard to realize that any clicks you get are going to be obtained through traffic that comes through his site. You would be getting credit through using his website. Why shouldn't he get credit when he is doing all the work?

I know someone is going to mention the nodes, and while I agree it is annoying, it isn't like Cheapy hasn't put money back into his website to improve it. He does what he can to try and improve traffic and keep the site enjoyable.

Basterds was good, but I would have liked to have seen more of Brad Pitt and Mélanie Laurent. Both of their characters were so much more interesting than anyone else who appeared on screen.

Personally i didn't think the CGI in D9 looked all that great. It looked good don't get me wrong, but nothing earth shattering like some seem to say.

Well considering it was just posted, yeah. With Peter Jaskon involved though, i guess i expected a little more.

Plus like i said, everybody has been acting like it was incredibly realistic and all.

I understand your argument, but it doesn't work when you argue each point separately when the whole idea is the combination of the two.

It just doesn't compute that he didn't allow people who were providing reusable PlayAsia coupon codes to the community to use their affiliate link because he lives off of the money, yet has that extra cash.

I was really hoping he would have come out in a bear costume. I kept thinking something absurd was coming out of the tunnel.
I hope you're joking, because that would have been ridiculous. I did think for a split-second that Jason Schwartzman was on roids, though. Really glad Tarantino didn't go with Sandler like I read he originally planned. Eli Roth's crazy eyes made that character.

His wife is a lawyer that makes so much money that moving to Tokyo made sense. He lives in a little bit of a different world than you or I. Successful people get to enjoy the finer things in life and they shouldn't have that held against them.

I wish Tarantino would go all out and use all the cutting room floor material to make an epic cut of Basterds that is about as long Kill Bill V1 + V2. I don't like the idea of him only taking a few of those deleted scenes and holding on to them so he can maybe use them in a prequel.
Hell yes. What do you think about GH5? And I remember being excited about it, and even thinking that guitar alone could be cool. But I shitting on GH:WT pretty early if I recall. Maybe I'm wrong.
