The Wonder Years on DVD

Nowhere.

That is unless you want to buy VHS-sourced copies and in that case you would be better off just pirating it yourself.

It doesn't exist, officially. Anything you'd find would be a bootleg. They can't get the licensing rights to all the music that was used on the show, and the music was such a big part of the show that they didn't want to release it without.

Thanks for the info... I wondered why it was never released.

I was watching the old Chris Elliott show 'Get A Life' on some off the wall station a few years back and then even changed the music in that... strange.

I hope if they ever do an official DVD release that the music isn't changed. The music was a great part of that show.

the only Wonder Years DVD that i know of is a "best of" of some sort.

if you have the ION channel, you can catch WY Mon-Fri from 10-11pm i believe

Yeah, I believe there's a 'Best Of' DVD and another one with Christmas episodes, but I think that they both had their music replaced.

I'd buy this show on DVD in a heartbeat if they made an official version with all the music intact. I used to watch this show all the time while growing up, and I still have good memories of it. It would be great to relive them!

Like WKRP...:bomb:

You mean that you loved her previously and now you have another girl.
I loved Winnie.
One of my friends is (sort of) friends with her.. or was a few years back. She is still smokin' hot and ridiculously smart. She was writing some crazy thesis on math or something.

Kevin Arnold blew through a bunch of hotties in that show. Who was the other hot one that I'm thinking about... Becky?

You're definitely thinking of Madeline, the chick from his French class. I've been watching it on ION, stupid channel that only shows like 5 hours of programming a day, but now I remember why I thought it was such a great show...because it really was.

BTW I didn't know this, but Becky Slater is really Winnie "Super" Cooper's sister in real life. Also, you'll see a lot of people doing cameos and appearances on the show like Dustin Diamond (the choir episode), Giobanni Ribisi, David Schwimmer (the guy Karen marries), Juliette Lewis (as Wayne's gum chewing girlfriend) and more check out the IMDB page

Yeah, Becky was one of them.

Man, I wish I knew her.
I want a really pretty, really smart girl like her....

Winnie!!!!

Hmm, Winnie has done a few game voiceovers:
  1. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (2006) (VG) (voice) .... Susan Storm/Invisible Woman
  2. Shin Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams (2006) (VG) (voice: English version) (as Danica McKeller)
... aka Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams (USA)
and more:

  1. EverQuest II (2004) (VG) (voice) .... Lolla Cotgrove, Pona
  2. X-Men Legends (2004) (VG) (voice) .... Jubilee
And an episode in the Super Mario show. Hmm, I have that on DVD, going to have to check that out.

When Get a Life re-ran on USA Network about 5 years ago, the music was changed in all the episodes, except for one. I forget which one, but it had a musical guest in it, and I guess they secured the rights to the music for that one single episode, and only that episode. Otherwise, the theme and in-show music was replaced and even the credits screen with the music was altered (which is odd, because the credits were single frame screens).

I have the 2 VHS releases from Rhino. Both have the original audio soundtracks in place. I never owned the DVDs though.
There are ways of getting it... there are ways...
yeah i think he was asking about those in the beginning, hence the reason he put the word safe in his question.
Like WKRP...:bomb:
WKRP is being released on DVD next week I believe.

As for the Wonder Years I passed on buying a used copy of their "Best Of" set. I regret that now as that single DVD sells for over $100 on eBay. They really need to get those copyrights secured and release those DVDs!

The first season has already been released, but the majority of the music is changed because of the unsecure copyrights.
