The "WWF No Mercy Memorial Wrestling Thread" that isn't actually a Memorial Thread

I forgot that Canadians (and possibly other former British colonies besides the US; maybe Australia, New Zealand, etc.) use that spelling. It's gotta be Super Eric. No other Canadians/British/etc have been with the company since the beginning.

The guy revealed his identity through ONE LETTER. Amazing...

I saw the spelling of "colour" and "realise" earlier and wondered if there were any other Canadian/British wrestlers besides EY who have been there since the beginning. Guess not.

I still think there's a good chance this is a work or completely fake. Especially since the guy keeps falling back to the fact that nothing will be revealed if he gets "re-signed" on Monday.

Yeah, whether it's real or not, I don't think there's a chance that we'll find out who it is come Monday.

I also thought it might be a work at first but now I'm not quite sure. I do however think that this has the potential of getting EY noticed when he otherwise would have never have had that second glance.

For those who missed it, all of the TNA episodes of Family Feud have been uploaded to Youtube. Steve Harvey is actually a pretty good host.

He has to be better than Al Borland and J. Peterman. Those guys made me miss Louie Anderson.
Steve Harvery is the best Family Feud host since Ray Colmes.

Time to check out the TNA episode.
I haven't liked Steve Harvey in anything else he's done ever (i.e., his TV series), but he's enjoyable as a host. I'll find the TNA episode.

If TNAnonymous is Eric Young, then that's unfortunate. I actually really enjoyed EY as a heel, even though he didn't really fit with that group. And, I can't see EY working for the E. But hey, he's hoping they give him a chance. He's good in the ring, and surprisingly tolerable on the mic. He would be a great fit for a good run in WWE's Intercontinental, United States, and Tag Team divisions.

That's about 1 step above the cruiserweight division at this point.

Hehehe...true. But, hey, the tag team division needs to be rejuvenated. A great way to do that would be for more uppercard/main event wrestlers to partake in the dead division. :)
$5 says Eric Young arrives in the E as the new Eugene.
That sounds like something Dubya-Dubya-Eee would do, eef yuo wheel. For Eric's sake, I hope they find something else to do with him.

By the by, Linda McMahon addressed the Eugene character during her failed campaign: "There was never any intent of WWE to make fun of anyone who is developmentally challenged in any way. It was to show how you can rise above your circumstances. He always had this quality of believing he could be anything he wanted to be. It's a soap opera. It's all a matter of taste.

I don't want you to mischaracterize what my judgment is. Eugene was an example of the different kinds of issues that can be addressed in life. Here was a fellow who really believed who he was and there were no obstacles to him. It portrayed an element in life that gave hope and inspiration to others."

Does anyone believe her? Does anyone think that WWE Creative wholly saw the Eugene character as an uplifting, hopeful tale?
i must of missed it.. when did the other 2 guys join nexus
Joe Hennig and Rapist Rotunda? A few weeks ago, I do believe.
Hey, remember when they put over Lethal with Flair? Yeah, neither does TNA.
Shit, remember when they had Angle put Lethal over clean...only to send him out like 40 minutes later to get squashed (by somebody I can't remember, maybe Team 3D?)

He went down to the ring to try and calm Joe down (I forgot the reason), and got tossed outside like so many Rumble jobbers.

Way to make your new camp look like a pussy, TNA.

The short version of Eric Young's TNA career.

Team Canada
Goofy "Showtime" era where he would get freaked out by his pyro
Feud with Robert Roode that featured him in a bikini contest
Super Eric
World Elite
Best friends with Kevin Nash
Nash betrays him to join the Band
Young becomes best friends with Nash again when he joins The Band, like two weeks after he got beat down by them.
Becomes retarded, doesn't realize he's dating Orlando Jordan.

Is there really a TNA PPV tonight????

"I feel sorry for their mothers"
For that matter, what the hell happened to Desmond Wolfe?
Undisclosed medical issue. Rumored to be the same thing that made the WWE pass on him when they signed Danielson.

That sounds about right. Perfect way for them to use Lethal after beating Angle clean

About the PPV opening match: I can't believe they did that.
Why was the blowoff to the EV2/Fortune feud NOT the giant gimmick cage match?
I was wondering the same thing myself. I guess they kind of need faces to go up against Fortune/Immortal, and they can use this as an excuse to get rid of one of the EV2 guys. I hope it's not Stevie Richards!

Well, this isn't an obvious setup for a hardcore (country?) match.

EDIT: DemoMan- the quality of the matches has been decent in my opinion; it's just the finishes that have sucked. I've come to expect that from TNA, so I've been moderately entertained so far.

The Mickie/Tara ending would have been fine on Impact. But on PPV... that's no excuse.

And why are we to believe that Team 3D is leaving given that they just signed a new contract with TNA? Good grief.

Eckos/Lethal was pretty good, though I don't think anybody is buying that neckbreaker Robbie E. does- not even the announcers.

Tommy Dreamer has accomplished his dream of being like his idol, Terry Funk, in that he moves at the pace of a broken down 65 year old man.

Waste of money or whatever you want to say, that broken wrist is sick and the fact he is still going in the match speaks volumes

2 pinfalls, 2 screwjobs, 1 count out/DQ for those keeping score.

aaand Jeff Jarrett is back to his WCW hair. Makes sense.

I'd hate to interrupt the discussion of what seems to be an AMAZING....TNA PPV.

I just posted my match that I had yesterday online for CAG viewing pleasure (and for the rest of the internet, but CAGs for sure).

It was a Triple Threat Match between myself, Brandon Collum and Drew Delight. It took place in Rome, Georgia at The Edge Gym for Edge Pro Wrestling on 11/6/10.

Click the picture below to watch the match!

Enjoy!
