Jim and Trashkan both bought a iPhone today.

Speed is fine for text browsing and such. I'd guess 30kbps? It's not terrible.

Coverage is great.

I only have the slightest of problems when traveling fast, such as on a road trip or on a train.

I was hoping for a little bit better than 56k speeds but IIRC, that was close to the actual 56k speeds. That's not bad for universal coverage though. I wonder if I could do that thing where you get the $15/month media net unlimited plan instead but I'm scurred of ATT fucking me over.

I need to see how I could go about adding it to my Dad's family plan so I can get the $10 rate. I'd like to just get a new SIM card and no "free" phone and contract extension.

I'm also a little concerned that they might not be up to the high quality of Apple refurbs, but they might be the same thing.

I just ordered a new phone for my mom. She is gonna get a Sony Erickson W580i Walkman. She liked it because it looked cool and had a pedometer.

The iPhone comes with a built in SIM card

And 30KBps is better than 56k, where you would get like 6kbps.

I may have confused you with my kbps.

Pre-ordered Brutal Legend from Gamestop.com when it was first announced. Then I got an email saying I didn't pre-order early enough (which was bizarre to say the least) and wouldn't be getting a shirt.

Fast forward two months. Wham-o. Magic shirt appears. It's not from Gamestop, but from Sierra so maybe they picked up the dropped ball by Gamestop.

Triggers are wide pieces of rounded plastic.

Little effort is needed top push it in on either controller.
I guess if your hands get sweaty or greasy, it might slip on the Sony one.

The 360 one is just more natural to the human touch.

The PS3 triggers are just annoying. But, not broken, I guess.

But as you add up all the annoyances of the PS3 controller, you can see how it's easy to hate by me and others who are like minded.

The 360 controller is MUCH better then the SIXAXIS, however I have not used a DS3 yet.
 
I'm surprised he lived as long as he did, I thought he was dead up until a couple of months ago.

It's really easy if you know what you have to do because there's little skill involved IMO. Check the Bully thread, I posted a check list in there a couple of days ago. Should take more than 20 but less than 30 hours.

I liked how it rained just long enough to mess up the car washes I did on Saturday.

Damn, its such a good game....but I already own it on ps2...cant bring myself to buy it again.


Going to pick up Saints Row...how long did it take you to beat it anyway?

(I am hella pressed for time to complete like 4 or 5 games before GTA IV)
 
You just mash the buttons and strum bar really fast, Temp. You have to hit the notes that follow the bonus too or else it won't count at all.
 
I absolutely hate the SixAxis controller. I lost count at how many times I put the controller down for a couple of seconds when playing MLB 08 and if the L2 button even touches the ground hard enough, there goes my baserunners trying to steal a base.

Does the DS3 have the same triggers as the Sixaxis? If they do, I might as just buy a PS2 to PS3 converter and use a DS2.
 
As far as PS3 controllers go, I don't like the Dualshock designs at all, are there any good 3rd party controllers that are shaped more like a X360 controller?
