thinking about doing first marathon, a bit apprehensive

CAGiversary!
ive been running/jogging for the past 6 or so months, up to doing 10k (6.2 miles) in about 48 minutes. theres a marathon here in arizona in january called pf chang's rock and roll marathon. i know speed goes down hill as distance goes, so i know i wont be able to keep the 8 minute mile all the time. im also not sure i am even capable at this stage im in for it. but having this kind of caliber marathon as my first would be kinda cool and being the first in the year.

Well I don't know much about marathons but the one thing I do know is that you aren't supposed to train past 10 miles for them. This is what I have heard from a few volunteers at the Pet Shelter I work at that are runners.
