come the fuck on.

of course this is about me not getting the $150 desktop, but this is not right.

after getting to the store at 4am, okay, theyre alreayd a line up, cool, so after asking 3 employees, "where do i get the $150 desktop", they ALL point in the same direction.

"head towards the green ballons"

fine.

2 hours waiting-in-line later.

"Oh you need a voucher"

NO ONE, not one of the three employees i asked before i got to the line, said ANYTING about a voucher, the store-ad itself says nothing.

and the worst part about it. they act like there's nothing you can do, you cant file any complaints, there's no actual "managers", just people in blue shirts, and then white shirt people who are obviously higher in the food chain, yet still cannot do thier job correctly.

no rainchecks, not even a "sorry about that", just nothing, and get out of the way so we can make small talk to the next customer waiting in line, hopefully talking about the void in thier lives will make the customer kill themself, and if not, theyll buy something.

and that what black friday is all about. a bunch of people who dont want to do thier jobs. its fucked up WHEN THE GUY WHO CANT EVEN SPEAK ENGLISH IS THE MOST HELPFUL PERSON IN THE STORE??!?!

on everything i swear, ill get my justice if its the last thing i do.

never shop b&m on black friday. never again.

I feel for ya man. I stay the hell away from large retailers on black friday. The deals are almost not worth it when you see what you have to go thru. Vouchers? Gimme a freakin break.

i feel your pain, my friend. although i'll say it's more about best buy than black friday in general. i hate best buy. in my book any store that won't even honor its own policies can go straight to hell. next time try places like target or circuit city or staples. i came back from circuit city and they had tons of employees all over the place so you could easily get answers. although many of them were clueless, at least there were some on hand who could direct you to someone who knew what they were talking about.

thats the thing, best buy was the first store i hgit up this morning, obviously a big mistake.

only thing i wanted was the $150 desktop, and two hours i walk it with a 512MB player(still dunno why) and Chaos Theory, even though i just bought 20GB mp3 like a week ago,

by the time i got to circuit city, anything worth anything was sold out, cant even get a copy of cinderella for my mom. absolutely ridiculous.

indeed. yea i know all about those "devil shoppers" reports they put out, and you know, i think i just might my evil evil devil money somewhere else frOm now on....

until next year, IM GETTIN THOSE fuckIN COMPUTERS!

theres nothing you can do cause 1000's of people could say the same thing and try to demand a pc for 149... and stop being such a cheap ass... i think dell has a better computer for 299 shipped.. I think best buy did you a favor as well , as those E machines are nothing but pieces of shit and probally would blew up on you within 6 months

maybe noone said anything to you about the voucher cause they were all gone and they thought you had one and wanted to know where in line to stand. Also how did you know the people in front of you didnt get all the vouchers (they usually only have 2-5 of them)

i feel your pain cause i got screw out of a tv 4 years ago (when it was still first come first serve when a 500 pound fat ass hippo pushed me out of the way for the last tv) I did go up and complain but nothing was done about it

i know it wasnt the best machine in the world. i just wanted a spare, to network with, plus i was thinking of going to compusa, and tricking it out with a nice gfx card, and extra HD, but not now obviously.

the only excuse i could get after asking/complaining to the 6th guy was exatly that. "oh maybe they assumed you had a voucher" LIKE WTF?!? THIS IS AMERICA, WE DONT USUALLY BUY SHIT WITH VOUCHERS, SO IF YOU MUST DO THAT FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION, WHY NOT TRY TO DO YOUR BEST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW!?

come on man, i swear, i would compare the scene there, to the images we got to the hurricane victims out there in the gulf coast, yes, it was just as bad. a fuckin madhouse, you have wait 2 hours for nothing, people cutting in line, people leaving carts everywhere. then you got people at the front wanting to sell you vouchers. shit i still wanted to buy a voucher and say fuck it....but the idiot scalper didnt even have change....-_-

i miss the old days when they just threw the doors open and everyone took off running :)

dude, yea, i would have enjoyed that much more. anything woulda been better than that.

its all a setup to make you buy accessories and other junk you dont need while in line, theres no way they sold all the computers they had if they were giving vouchers, for the simple fact that people were either selling them, or throwing them out because of the line.

I almost got shafted at Best Buy this morning. I was first in line last night. Got there just after 9 pm. Got 3 tickets for the 379 laptop, the 149 desktop and a 129 camera. After spending an eternity in both the desktop and camera lines, I finally make my way to the end of the laptop line, where they tell me that they are out. Upon further inspection, the lady tells me that my ticket is not legit, because all the numbers 1 through 10 were written in big black marker by the same person, and my #1, was not. I then produced the triplicate ticket receipt with my name written on it and I ask them to find the person who wrote me this, and insisted that if there was a mistake, it was on their end. She ALMOST accused me of forging the thing.

Anyway, since everyone remembered that I was first in line, they said they'd try to get a replacement or something equal and I can pay the same price. They'll call me later.

I ordered the notebook online and have my fingers crossed.

I am still pissed that they didn't discount call of duty online. Then I wouldn't have had to go at all. I stood in line for over an hour just for that.
Anyway, MY BB got 200 of those $150 e machines in stock. ANd the CC across the stret got 100 of the Toshiba Notebooks.

my BB wouldn't PM the Battlefront 2 from Kmart . . . no PMs at all today I was told . . .

But while I was walking around, I overheard a manager say "just take $10 off it . . . were aren't giving away the farm today" . . . obviously someone was trying to get a substitute. But just his tone of voice made me hate BB in a whole new way. They were going to give someone a "special deal" my ass.

i disagree. i own an emachines computer. i pound this thing and its a best. its been 2 years since i got it and no problems. value my friend. its got the same insides as a dell, without the high price. sorry but dell over does it on some of the pricing

here here. yea the eMachine was a great deal for $149. props to anyone that actually got it. add an extra HD/DVD-RW/gfx card and youre good at least until vista comes out.

*sigh* damn vouchers!!!

glad to see im not alone in the gettin screwed @ best buy. WE'LL GET EM NEXT YEAR DAMN YOU!

Forget Vista unless you like getting DRM up the yin yang.

This has to be the most pointless complaint thread. You got there at 4am and expected to get a $150 computer? Have you never been to or heard of the best buy black friday deals? People lined up at 6pm at mine to get those damn things. It's a good deal, so why wouldn't you think everyone and their mom wouldn't want one? Best Buy didn't screw you at all, you just didn't the process. It sucks, but learn and line up at 6 or 7 next year if you want in on the cheap computers. What would be more fucked up is if you got a cheap computer and the people who spent a long time out there didn't. Get over it.

The people with white shirts are actually the lowest of low at Best Buy, seasonal idiots that will likely be fired the week after Christmas.

dude, we had people outside our store at 11 the night before for the computers, when people got there at 4 this morning we just laughed at them, would have done the same to you

I have learned to avoid Best Buy completely on Black Friday. Standing there once in line this week (for the 360) was more than enough

Shut the Fock up you dirty idiot.

I hate you FRICKEN idiot customers that ask for shit and expect us to know everyything... COME ON! Just cause I work in the DVD and Game section doesn't mean I know EVERYTHING about a goddam fucking toaster that is on sale. Suck my nuts...

LIKE WTF?!? THIS IS AMERICA, WE DONT USUALLY BUY SHIT WITH VOUCHERS, SO IF YOU MUST DO THAT FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION, WHY NOT TRY TO DO YOUR BEST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW!?

You're funny. You remind me of a funny looking guy standing on the commons ranting about all the injustices he's faces.

I actually had an excellent Best Buy experience this morning. The line was long (3/4 around the building), and it was cold as hell out. I lined up fairly late in comparison, at about 3:45 am.
I moved up in line pretty quickly, about half of the length once they started passing out the vouchers--most people left once they ran out of the $150 eMachine.
I was there for the $129 camera, which I got voucher #8 for. SCORE.

Security was very good about keeping the people not in line from rushing the store, and overall at the time I was there, everything was fast and orderly, with other people in line helping me and others out with things (it was like a barricade maze in there, you had to go to a specific area and line for each item). Huge difference from the horor stories I'd heard from years before. I was out within 15 minutes, and I'd went and bought a couple of DVDs (Billy Madison, Friday Night Lights, The Grinch, 24 Season 3) and a 512 SD stick too.

basicly what u have to do with best buy is realy just have it out for them.

They have sales that are kind of unavoidable when u want deals so..you take down there names you file ur normal complaints...BUT then you have ur freinds file false complaints against those names 'especialy on days like black friday you could say just about anything hapend and if its fucked up enough and enough people say it there fired'.

Not to mention u could just purposly try to interact with the person and bait them to fuck with u by going in there line smarting off to them by saying insulting things in diferent tones and things so u can later make it look as if he was the rude one.

Bestbuy is out of control its like they hire assholes on purpose so make them go postal make them loose there fucking job like they try to make you loose out on deals there suposed to honor .

I guess I must be lucky then. Three years and counting.

I passed on BB this year because they didn't have a lot of good deals; maybe the laptop and movies if you wanted them. My BB had people waiting overnite for those stupid laptops and what happens, but one of the funniest things ever. Due to BB not having in print "limit 1 per household", the first 3 people in line bought all 15 they had. You got to love HF2005; Hoarder Friday begings down with the "Black Friday" label. Sorry to all of you who got fucked, but everyone knows shit like this happens every year because "idiots" forgot the true meaning of Christmas and the Holidays.

From what I've heard the newer emachines are a lot better than the older one. Those were pure crap. We have one of those and it's still kicking, barely, but it doesn't power down when you tell it to and it can turn it self back on. Either it's an issue with a tempermental power supply or the thing is haunted.

You also might be better off not getting that computer. I remember seeing it the ads that either the cheap computer at CC or BB required you to sign up for a year of AOL to get it one of the rebates. I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole.

I refuse to go in that store if at all possible. Worst company I ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They can kiss my ass if they think I'm renewing my RZ card.

I went in yesterday looking for sales on home audio: nothing. Checked to see if some good games or anime were on sale, nothing. This was in the evening though. Walmart usually has a complete system for around $350, usually AMD and much nicer looking than the eMachines, the balance Semperon machine is really nice looking.

BBY (and CC as well) hands out vouchers for those in line so they can claim whatever item it is that they want to buy. Nothing wrong with that really as it does help prevent some of the chaos associated with Black Friday. From what it sounds like Wal-Mart should take note of this going by the amount of reports emerging involving chaotic fights and what not.
