Tomorrow's going to be as busy as hell for me. Luckily, I only need to go to just one store for all that I'm looking to buy, but I guess there's other things I need to do like renew my driver's license while I'm here.

I have a feeling that in some contract between Nintendo and Rare something is written about Nintendo still having the rights to the games Rare developed. Of course I can (and most likely am) wrong about this.

Nah, I meant that I wasn't sure any DK Rare game would be on the VC until I saw that they already released Donkey Kong Country in other regions, so I know for sure they'll (eventually) release Donkey Kong 64. It was the only reason I kept all of my DKC games, but since I can get $90 - $100 for my complete set of DKC 1 - 3, and $20 for DK 64, off they go soonish.

I think it mainly has to do with the characters/IP. DK and his family are Nintendo's IP, Banjo and Kazooie, and KI characters are Rare's, and James Bond is neithers.

That's pretty much the situation with Rare and Nintendo's licensing issues.

Boise State's got fucking balls, I'll tell you that. It may be going overboard, but I think they definitely deserve a share of the National Championship after that game.

Not sure about that, basically they got there with 3 unorthodox plays. They where lucky they made it to OT, then to pull 2 trick plays to win. Oklahoma was out coached in the end, but if I where to rank the top teams this year BSU would be #3 USC #2 and the buckeyes at #1 assuming the beat Florida.

Took the cube over to my gf's place and put another 3 1/2 hours into Twilight Princess. 5 hours in total and I've only just finished the first temple. I'm not exactly taking my time, either. Zew must have goddamn flew through this game. :lol:

Now maybe I'll finish MMX. :whistle2:k

After two matches of Gears where I owned the other team (even though I had three rounds in one game where I killed 3 people and we still lost) I think I am going to make a cake. May throw in Rainbow and try that out.

Plain text is notoriously bad for conveying tone. Things can sound quite bit more harsh than intended. Of course, I'm guessing chicka would know that, numbnutsEviltude.
 
Today is my first day of work at a new job. My boss didn't tell me when to come in though. Tried to get in touch with her 3 weeks ago to find out, but she's been on vacation since mid-December and comes back today. Gotta love working at a University.
 
Wow, woke up with an IM from a buddy saying our old friend from back in the IRC days has died. Of course that's all he mentioned. I wonder what happened...
 
Man was I glad Boise State went for two. I had DVRed the 4th quarter, plus the 15 min. postgame, plus the 30 minute News after that. (So 45 minutes over.) When BS scored their OT TD there was about 10-15 mins left on my recording and I figured I'd be looking at the recording cutting off sometime during the 2nd OT. Thought it was kind of odd that the announcers didn't really mention or debate the pros and cons of that move at all before the snap. I figure they went for it because they were confident in their trick play and they felt Oklahoma had the advantage going into later OTs for some reason.

I nearly just went to bed and didn't bother recording it because I didn't care much about either team in that game. Glad I decided to grab it. Amazing finish.

Definitely going overboard. But I thought their QB put it very well in his on field after game interview.
 
So got to work at 8:30 this morning, which is when my department opens. Of course, my boss showed up at 9:30. She got chided for leaving me waiting for an hour.

As you can tell, not much work to be done yet. Most stuff hasn't been set up for me yet (phone, email, etc), but I have a computer with internet. Just have to read over all the materials about the workplace now.

Already have my big assignment though, Terry McAullife, former chair of the DNC is coming in less than a month gotta plan out everything for that. Good times.
 
So I had bought a copy of Dragon Quest VIII at some point over the summer, say back in June... hadn't opened it until this morning.

No fucking discs inside. No fucking manual either.

I'm sure BB isn't going to do shit about it either.
