Went to the Salvador Dali museum in St. Pete today. Very interesting stuff.

Going to Target tomorrow, they better have Robot Chicken.

Sigh. I hate it when people at other forums are too dense to recognize humor.

Over at PGC.com they are debating about the rumored Metroid Dread title, and what the gameplay mechanics might be like. Someone suggested that, perhaps, Samus has become so infected with the Metroid vaccine/carrier (from the Fusion game) that she'd have to feed on animals in order to survive, giving the game a new twist.

Nintendo is filling the same niche Apple is now. Thus, you don't have to defend it any futher than smirking and shaking your head condescendingly at people rankin' on it.

I dunno why, but the revolution is the only next gen system I'm interested in currently. That and the DS Lite... guess I'm slowly becoming a Nintendo fanboy...

I dont think Nintendo wants to accept the miniscule, however profitable, marketshare that Apple has. They really want to do great things and bring it to everyone.

Lol I definetly have a test tomorrow in my US History class that I forgot about. 11 hours until, I'm not even going to try and study. SHIT I gotta go buy scantron things though(I honestly remembered that as I finished up my 2nd sentence). fuckin hate those things just because I gotta buy them. Oh well, atleast I can look forward to getting out of class a little early and playing some frisbee before Spanish!

What kind of commie school do you attend that makes you buy your own scantron sheets? Jesus, the teachers are already basically getting the day off by using them in the first place.

After playing the Mulan level in KH2, and listening to Harvey Fierstein in I'll Make a Man Out of You and A Girl Worth Fighting For, I think Harvey needs to release a cd. I don't care what it is, just the sound of his voice is something I find hilarious right now.

One time I must have sold books that I bought for over $100 for less than what I spent on lunch that day. Believe me when I tell you my ass isn't gaping because of all the anal sex I had living in the all boys dorm but is because of the bookstore. :bomb:

But at least we didn't have to buy our own blue books. That's just plain cheap assing it on your school's part. :lol:

Yep. If an exam requires a lot of written work, chances are that it's going to require a blue book.

They're not too expensive - maybe fifty cents here at UMich - and I've only needed three so far in my first year of college. Of course, engineering requires lots of scantron and exams where blue books wouldn't work (Calc being one of the biggest), but...

I just lost my train of thought. I blame karsh for making me listen to the Mulan soundtrack. :)
 
its just note paper (4 or 8 pages) that are stapled together with a blue cover and are sold for like .40 or .80 cent i think. For essay midterms.

dcfox- I forgot about books... but it was probably my defense mechanism trying to block out the bad memories.
 
I remember one Final where we needed two Blue Books to cover all of the essays within the three hours. I'm sorry, but six handwritten essays of around 3 pages a pop on Shakespeare? Good god almighty. What a joke. If I recall I was one of the few people able to leave before the three hour mark since everyone else was still feverishly writing.

But lord, if I had to buy Blue Books as well as Scantrons I'd just counter by plastering the entire campus with websites for used textbooks and other money-saving businesses at least twice a week.

Well, not before kicking over a magazine rack, at least.
 
books were indeed bad.

i ended up keeping ones i could use for a reference in my field of work and got rid of everything else...

eventually, i learned to a) buy books off half.com and b) only buy those I actually needed. otherwise, i would just borrow the books of my classmates when needed.
 
I got lucky this semester. I bought 3 of my books for like 165 from someone which saved me about $100+ and I didn't need to buy the $100+ environment of business law book. The only book I had to buy from the bookstore was this little macro econ book that was like 30.

edit: the godfather game is the shits! I've just been promoted to Capo.
 
So I have a rather somber question- I was browsing the hot girls pt1 thread to see if I could find a desktop I posted (The one of the girl on the sand all wet-like? I wanna find that again... Lost it with the new comp) and I saw one of Saucy Jack's posts... With R.I.P. 184-2006 as his user title, and his av/sig gone. Now, we were talking to Saucy right up until he just stopped posting and going on AIM, which led me to believe maybe he just quit the internet altogether. However, he did discuss with me that he did have a disease that was rather life threatening, and that there was a good possibility he might croak. Now, is the R.I.P. just a sojourn to his departure from CAG, or did he really pass offline? ._.

I don't think he would be on his death bed and think to himself "hey I need to update my user title"

Well, I dunno, maybe someone had Cheapy change it or something. I know admins can change titles in PHPBB, dunno about vBulletin.
