My TF@ is broken, along with all my valve games.
I cal play them, and they run fine. But I can't quit. Quitting any of the valve games crashes to the desktop and they refuse to quit. They're "un-responsive." So I gotta shut down the pc.
I sent them an email on help, and they basically told me to update my pc, which is stupid since I told them it has all updates.
I actually made a five minute video of the issue and I'm goign to send it to the,m, since their help section includes a p[lace for attachments.
, it's just such a hassle... luckily Steam works fine for me.
I mean, look at Gears of War... should have been awesome, but the online was broken, the game had some issues they never bothered to patch, and it turned into a mess.
Rainbow Six Vegas didn't even offer a resolution for widescreen support for a long time... way to go. Jade Empire still doesn't, have to edit the registry.
Then there is the Punkbuster shit... that is obnoxious. For some reason, to this day, I could never play Battlefield 2 or 2142 because Punkbuster kicks me.
Vegas 2 creates an error file that is over 1 gb... Assassin's Creed has it's own problems as well.
The only games worth getting excited about on PC, 90% of them, are games that were released on consoles months ago, not to mention it's a bitch getting people coordinated, you have to all choose a server, get everyone to use something like Xfire... I don't know, I can see why PC gaming is slowly circling the toilet.
Steam is the answer, since it creates one unified platform on the PC, but there are companies like EA and MS that think they can do it better their way.
