"Earlier today, specialty retailer GameStop told GameSpot that it would be unable to fulfill all of its PlayStation 3 preorders on launch day. Now a Toys R Us representative has confirmed some news that will reassure its own preorder customers, and give jilted GameStop customers one less place to consider camping out for a system on day one.

"We have enough [PS3 systems] to cover presells and that's it," the representative said bluntly."

Good for TRU. How many pre-orders for the PS3 did they take, 8? I can;t imagine TRU would be getting more PS3s then GS/EB.

If you look at the article it mentions Wii and it says that not only will they have enough for preorders, they will have EXTRA for people who did NOT preorder.

there's a plentiful stock[/quote]Analyst expectations are 600-800k at launch in North America. Hardly plentiful. 4 million worldwide by the end of the year is much better, but launch day will likely be a sell-out in most places. Doesn't really matter, it'll all play out in 5 days.

My TRU only took 4 PS3 preorders (and 10 Wii preorders), but that seems lower then what most TRU stores had.
 
My TRU had eight PS3 (seven 60GB, one 20GB) pre-orders available. We also had 20 Wii pre-orders the for the first round and 18 for the second.

yeah I was mainly reffering to the rate of replenishment. That's the beautiful thing about the Wii for nintendo. Quick re-stock and production rates.

Yeah, my TRU only took 6 preorders, 5 60gig 1 20gig. Also the article states don't bother camping out at TRU. Since all we will get is our preorders
