Thoughts on demon stone...

just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this game...I have a buddy who thinks the world of it, and before I pick it up, just wanted to get ya'lls opinion.

i know the basics: hack n' slash, same devs as LotR games, D&D based.

anything else of note?

I played the demo, and it was pretty fun. It played like The Two Towers, so if you liked that you will like Demon Stone.
 
Ok...I had kind of thought that would be the case. I've read about that player interchanging, and solid AI on top of that...which seems interesting...Xbox release is soon, no?

hmmm....ive heard a little bit about the short levels...but also that the detail in the game is really nice. which is cool. i'll probably check it out.

kaiju...i take it you're a godzilla fan (lol, duh)...you gettin pumped for G:STE?? i didn't even recognize your name until just now...
 
is it really goin down that low already?? thatd def be a nice reason to pick it up....i just hope that happens soon...the vids ive found are pretty cool lookin.
 
Uh...you shouldn't really just post pictures like that 2nd one here. Maybe because some find it inappropiate but moreover because some of us are at work and such...

Yep, Im looking forward to it. I really liked Destroy All Monsters Melee, and StE looks even better.
 
yeah im not even sure how the geck that picture even makes any sense in this thread....so...not cool. and yes......people AT WORK MIGHT GET A BIT EMBARRASSED!!

anyway....i think im goin to pick demon stone up this weekend, along with the call of duty exp pack. guess who got a best buy gift card? THIS GUY!

kaiju...i'll start a zilla thread (in the xbox board obv) so we can talk shop a bit more in there....did you see the preview that went up today?? woooohoooo....
 
Demonstone has a lot more cinematic scenes than the LOTR games. Also, you can switch from the three characters on the fly. I haven't played it much myself, but received some runthroughs since its inception.

For me personally, if I'm going to play a hack'n'slash, I'll play X-Men Legends, Baldur's Gate and that ilk instead. I prefer heavier RPG elements.

Got it this weekend!! I couldn't wait anymore, so I just went and got it while preordering my copy of G:STE...woohoo....

anyway....been having a really good time with it. The changeable players are pretty awesome bc the AI on the nonused keeps them from running into walls and fighting air and actually has them fight. The detail is amazing...def a strong point in the game. I recommend it to anyone on the fence....good stuff. I didn't want to post any spoiler just yet, but fire away any questions if you have them.

i hear that...sometimes you just gotta wait...but for the record...im on level 4...and it kept me up way too late last night.

kaiju....surprised not to see you pokin around the godzilla thread i made....wanted to get some talk goin about it...hope to see u there.

oh and btw....my friend just sent me MK:Deception...its pretty amazing too. having not played MK:DA, this was a welcomed surprise package to get.

Just a question on the XBOX verison (I know these are PS2 forums):

Will there be downloadable stuff or anything through Live?
 
not that I have seen or heard of yet....but i dont know all there is to kno about the xbox version anyway. id like to hear some thoughts on it whenever there are any actually.
