300 calories? Who told you that? I've always heard it's around 170 on average per 12oz beer.
Average. There's a couple that really upset the apple cart.

I'd guess that most beers that are widely available at normal bars are probably all around 175-200 or just over. (with light beers being probably 125-150)

But even with the light beers, you're still maxing out your calorie count pretty quickly, and sacraficing alcohol content. :(
Being on a diet on St. Patrick's day sucks.

Taking into account that to be successful you need to maintain a 2000 calorie diet, and that you don't really want to drink on an empty stomach, the numbers just stink. Even just eating vegetables and salads prior, you'd still burned through 500-800 calories. Given that each beer contains roughly 300 calories on average, you'll be hitting your daily maximum before you're really even getting a buzz.

:(
Wait, I always thought that your body doesn't count calories on holidays so you could eat whatever you want?

I'm trying not to do that, but corned beef and cabbage with a couple beers sounds really, really good.

As much as I like to say that Sega losing Yuji Naka is a great loss I'm not sure I can. Sonic Teams' games have been mediocre at best lately. But then again so has all of Sega.

It's a part of Nintendo Japan's DS / Wi-Fi campaign. It's different Marios from different countries playing together on their DSs.

The Italian Mario is the shit.

I wish this fuckin' high school basketball game would end so I CAN TAKE A fuckIN' SHIT!!!

Well it has been awhile. Happy St. Patty's Day. I turned 20 monday and in 30 minutes I am going to watch V for Vendetta.

Also Murray State vs North Carolina (upset special maybe...maybe not but we will see).
tim horton's kicks ass. they're sandwiches are good, the chili's great, the donuts are awesome...and timbits rock. if you're ever in canada (maybe they're in parts of the u.s.?) give them a try.

Where in Vancouver do you live? My parents live in West Van.

In other news, I never have to do physics again.

In this house we obey the laws of Thermodynamics.
[since you don't have to deal with physics, does that mean you can defy gravity? :D]

Have not seen History Violence but Charlie and Batman are very god movies.
I love Tim Horton's when I visit my cousins in Toronto. Gimme a French Vanilla and TimBits.
Two things:

1) What are TimBits... (I'm gonna go check WikiPedia, but figured I'd ask anyway.)

B) Everytime I see "Tim Horton's" all I can think of is Reverend Horton Heat... well, that and Dr. Seuss.
Have not seen History Violence but Charlie and Batman are very god movies.
I wanted to see A History of Violence while it was in theatres... but, sadly, it was in theatres for, like, a week in my town. Missed it. Sounds like an absurdist film... I did some research on the film and the graphic novel, but I can't remember (off the top of my head) what they were about. I remember "redemption", "the past" were some keywords.

I saw Batman Begins in theatres. Incredible film.

Haven't seen Charlie & The Chocolate Factory yet, either.

Let's not forget Timmy Ho's Chocolate Chip muffins. So good.

I'm mad that Wendy's has owned them for years and still hasn't brought any of them South of... PA?

V for Vendetta was very very very good. Bummer I had to go by myself. Now two big games Murray State giving UNC a run for their money. UK should get their act together with these unworthy UAB losers (knock on wood). Hmmm hopefully the night could get even better.

Actually, it's a dance team from one school. They dressed up like that for hell I know, sadly after that upset we faced Central Valley and lost to them in a low scoring affair. Next game was an elimination out scenario and we won that, then lost to Mt.Tahoma in a 4th/7th Place match which sadly was that we beat Mt.Tahoma both times we faced them.

No. Metroid isn't Metroid unless it's played with a typical controller. :O

Yeeeeowch. The two classes without a grade are next quarter- next week. My defense is in weights, the teacher was an bitch: If you spent time working out to really get it done right, you didn't do enough work, but if you sped it up and went light and fast, you did too much. Great Books was a college class, and I wasn't as prepared for that as I should have been. Thank God I passed it, I was worried as hell. fuck US Lit, I failed that last year, that C is fine.

Listen to me, validating my bad grades to CAG.

grades are overrated. an employer doesn't look at report cards. if you do really well you might be able to get a scholarship, that's about it.

i currently have issues with school myself and i'm ready to dropout and find work. there is nothing left for me there.

Haha, you're quite right, my boss hasn't a clue about my grades, and doesn't appear to emphasize them. x3 Where I am, I'm in a good position; I might be able to get a foot in at Raytheon or something if I work hard enough. :D

College's look at grades and employers look at college grades (final GPA anyway), especially if you graduate cum laude, summa cum laude, or magna cum laude.

my dad worked for raytheon for years. i forget what company he works for now, but i'm pretty sure the raytheon contract is over.
