I have it, but I'm used to it.

any advice on how to stay sane? I only have it in my left ear and the pitch just makes me want to puke when I think about it.

I have it only in my right ear. It was annoying at first, but eventually you'll forget all about it.

Heh, so that's what it's called. I've had it for as long as I can remember, so I've just accepted that I can't do anything about it, and ignore it.

The Roots did it to me.

Just wear earplugs in high noise situations I guess... can your hearing improve over time?

i've had ear infections all throughout childhood. i have some ringing as well in both ears, hearing loss, and my ears get wacked when something is too loud. it's all thanks to the doctors who think they know what they are doing but have no clue most of the time. what really annoys is me that I went to the doctor but they said the nerve was fine. ringing is only bothersome when it is very quite but most people experience some ringing when it is very silent.

I have it two. I have had it for like 10 years now. It drove me insane at first, but now I'm used to it. It's just bad when you're trying to sleep and you hear this ringing and can't go to sleep because of it.
I have it too. I've heard some positive things about this supplement called lipo-flavoniod, has anybody here tried it or know anyone who has?
I've been reading a lot about all the different things you can take and everything has varied feedback. I think the part that makes it really bad is that my ears are not equal, my left ear feels stuffed or something, I don't know how to describe it.
The Roots did it to me.
Haha, they did the same to me on Tuesday night. Thankfully though, it went away in about a day.
I do plan to start taking earplugs with me to future concerts lest it becomes permanent.

I used to work in a health food store, and there's a couple herbal/homeopathic products I've seen called Clear Tinnitus and Ring Stop. Never tried them, but I've heard a few people that used one or the other say they worked. There's also a product called Neurozyme from a company called New Chapter that's marketed for memory/brain function, but I've heard of a few people that have used that for tinnitus with success.

Tinnitus is very common. I've heard it affects something like 15 million Americans !

As far as I know, there is no cure.

I definitely have tinnitus. I think it's just in my left ear. It feels plugged up, and has felt that way for a couple of years. I've tried those ear drops on like five occasions but they never work. It was like that in both ears, but as luck would have it, my right one came unplugged completely randomly the other day.

I definitely have a ringing in my ears, though. It sounds like it's coming from inside my head. It's not a huge deal, but I have trouble hearing and stuff, so I have to ask people to repeat things often. Never prevents me from going to sleep, and I'm not really bothered by it. I'd say it only makes it harder to hear... that's about it.

I might have something like it. I went to sleep with ear plugs the other night and while they completely blocked out everything else, I was aware of this high pitched ringing in my head. I'd never paid attention to it before, but it was there. The more I focused on it, the louder it got. It didn't really bother me though and I fell asleep like normal.

Take Gingko Biloba, Cayanne, and Butchers broom in thier supplemental forms. They all support circulation, which assist with Tinnitus. You won't see the effects immediatly, but soon enough you will. Don't bother going to the doctors either, they won't find anything. I would suggest draining your ears via ear candle or with a doctor that uses the vacuum thing.

Hope I helped, somewhat.

I have it too, and im surprised at how many others say they have it as well, that makes me feel a little better. It seems like its gotten worse over the last few yrs but I cant be sure, maybe when i think about it more often it just seems worse. Its mostly in my left ear. I know going to many loud concerts sure hasnt helped the situation either.

Maybe the video games are putting some kind of signal into our heads.....Oh well, off to game some more.

im drunk right now and it doesnt help. any of you guys who have had it have you been alright with gettin drunk or smokin mary jane? because so far it just hasnt been what it use to be.

There is no cure for Titinus. It starts as ringing in your ears when you ear drum can't adjust for a loud bass or high pitched noise (or just a really loud noise). If you continue to have the ringing after about 12 hours, it's possible it could be a lifelong condition. It's something that's common in both musicians and people who do stuff like audio editing who wear headphones all day.
