Tips for my DS Purchase.

WTFpomer

CAGiversary!
Ok so basically. I want to get a DS Lite and i really like the idea of the brain age bundle since its a 2 tone DS and all my friends have their lame 1 tone ones so i am definitly getting that as my system. As far as games go, i'm not sure and im indecisive and am looking for some help. I have A LOT of down time at work and need something to keep my attention and lots of people have DS' too so single card multiplayer takes effect but i need something for myself. Heres what i have so far.

Possible Games.
-Castlevania-PoR or DoS (beat both before)
-Planet Puzzle League (huge fan of the puzzles)
-Pokemon Diamond (Pokemon...need i say more)
-Custom Robo (friend has but im interested)
-Mario Kart DS (really fun)
-Touch of the Dead (big HotD fan)

probably more but i can't think of them right now.

any tips for games. :bouncy:

Had a couple more games come to my attention....

-Metriod Prime:Hunters
-Luminious Arc
-Kirby Canvas Curse
-Trama Center: Under the Knife
-Meteos

Still don't know what to get first and what to wait on.
Tips and comments are good. :bouncy:

Well my friend has Mario Kart and I could get it anytime, probably should have mention that....hehe. Phoenix Wright was another one i was thinking about and now that i know it's on clearance i'm going to get it. I'm probably going to get 2 from the list when i get the DS when it releases. Still got a while till i get it too so. :bouncy:

Phoenix Wright owns your soul. Should be your first purchase. Actually since the Gamecrazy trade 2 get extra 50% deal my DS collection consists of Phoenix Wright, Phoenix Wright: Justice for All, and Mario Kart. :D

touch of the dead is a horrible game, dont get that. final fantasy3 is a great rpg if you like that. Puzzle quest is decent, but you should get the puzzle planet league instead if you want a puzzle game. or you can wait till sept 25 for Zelda to come out.

Heres what i have and they are all fun games
Ages Of The Empire
Advance Wars Dual Strike
Castlevania POR
Clubhouse Games
Magical Starsign
Phoenix Wright
New Super Mario Bros

Are you going to be using this more for quick breaks (which favor mini games) or will you have serious time to play it (which favors the RPGs/adventure games)?

You should try and hunt down as many of the quality GBA games as possible, don't forget about them. I'm still having a hell of a time finishing out my GBA want list (never mind GB/GBC) looking for Double Dragon Advance and Contra mainly.

In any case, as far as purely DS games goes, besides the other recommendations I humbly submit:

New Super mario Bros - THE reason I picked up the DS...so much fun if you like platformers.

Lost in Blue 1/2 - if you can find them anywhere. I stupidly passed up on a $20 LiB 1 over Christmas, huge regret.

Mario vs Donkey Kong 1 (GBA) or 2 (DS) - I prefer 1 over 2...it's pretty entertaining, sort of a platformer strategy game

Any of the GBA/DS Final Fantasies, any Atlus RPG or RPG port (or any of their ports for that matter, like Double Dragon Advance)

Really, you have so much quality to go with, you can't go wrong. You pretty much get most of the best of the NES (GB/GBC), most of the best of the SNES/Genesis (GBA), and the N64 hits and so many new games.

As long as you don't buy any of the lame ass movie or TV licensed crap like Zach and Cody or Alex Rider or whatever the eff it's called, you generally can't go wrong.

FYI you listed Pokemon, one of the Pokemon games is the Amazon Deal of the Day, at $20 and no tax. Get something else for $5.01 if you don't have Prime and it's free shipping as well. But it is the top posted Deal of the Day (meaning the overall Amazon DotD, not just the Videogame section DotD) so it will sell out quickly.

For those who are wondering sometimes i have long breaks and sometimes i have short breaks and i just have to set my DS down and take care of business.

I do have a micro and have already played 2 pokemons, Metriod, Megamans, Castlevanias and some others, but everyone there has a DS so the multiplayer sometimes takes affect. But like i said i want some single players to beat on my own and something to keep my attention for a long time.

As of right now i'm completely sold on Phoenix Wright since its 10$ and i'm thinking about the pokemon for 20$ thats a great deal. As for the games i kinda want to play ill just tell my friends to get them since im the only one that knows anything really about video games and they listen to me. Any more comments?
