TMNT 25th Anniversary + Japanese Ninja Turtles video.
I can't think of too many CGI TV shows I liked. Yeah the TMNT CGI movie was good, but I can see a TV show being cheesy. I'm not even a fan of the Clone Wars stuff. It's just too forced.
what about Reboot? i cant think of anyone who didnt dig that show. eon kid was pretty good too but yeah if done right cg can be cool , cubix was a good one as well, but if done wrong , like the cgi voltron, it can be pathetic. i liked the cgi spider man series as well that used to be on mtv.

According to this site, the TMNT IP was sold for something like $60 million.

And ReBoot was great, it's a shame there's no region 1 DVD release. The only thing I have left is a Bob action figure and that horrible PS1 game.

WOW, That just blew my mind, pure awesomeness, Saturday morning cartoons were the best like 20 years ago, everything now is yugioh, and bakugan, and pokemon spinoffs.
You mean "The Wrap Rap"?
"Say It Again!" OMG My eyes burn! I'm surprised they didn't have Raphael do the rap and call it the Raph Wrap Rap, Who TF came up with this idea.

damn that game was horrible i remember buying full price all excited to be able to relay some great reboot moments only to get let down harshly as all you do in the game is close rifts. definelty one of the worst games based on a show ever. maybe someday they will make an attack of the killer tomatoes game ( thas good the one they did make sucked).

saturday morning cartoons are pretty much dead.i remember the good old days of waking up at 5 or 6 and watching toons till noon ( late noon if you had usa) and even on sundays they had lots of cartoons on. i feel bad for kids that they dont have that to look foward to anymore and the variety of cartoons there was alot of cool and strange stuff out back then.

now is all copycat shit. most of them are all about collecting things and battling. or what about after school cartoons? running home to make sure you didnt miss mask or gijoe or ducktales or transformers.fun times man.

I don't remember how I got the game, but I know I didn't pay full price for it. I was really hoping to be able to go into game cubes, but like you said, it's just closing rifts and helping Enzo. Or so I've read. See, the controls are so horrible that I can't actually get past the first level. I give up out of frustration.

Do you ever get off that fucking hoverboard?

They did a good job with this film, did you know it was supposed to be released in theaters but they cancelled it? except some people who voiced in the 87 series weren't present this time

i dont remember that was another one of those games i quickly returned once i figured out how shitty it was , back in the good old days of gamestop , check gamefaqs someone may had done a faq for it which could tell you more about it. the gamecube entering was why i wanted it too maybe someday someone will make a better reboot game i still hold onto the hope of seeing older cartoons in game form like thundercats or silverhawks.

man, you speak the truth. anyone remember Captin N The Game Master, Smurfs , TMNT.

My plan is to buy everything I loved so my kids can watch it on dvd one day. OMG I'm not even going to start talking about the whole 2 hours of disney after school. Darkwing Duck anyone? Chip and Dales?

As you said its all about collecting and battling, of course we know these are just 30 minute marketing commercials for the toys and games. But really haven't they always been?

I think the government had a hand in ending a lot of the cartoon time we used to enjoy. A few years back i remember some new law about so much of the time being dedicated to educational programs.

"Some?" Try "none." But it was still great, original cast aside.

It's actually more of an advertising/profitability issue. Networks are required to have a certain amount of "educational programming" per day, but all of it gets crammed in during the wee morning hours. It wouldn't have affected our cartoons. If anything, I think the advent of all-cartoon channels (which are starting to introduce non-cartoon programming now... sigh) slowly destroyed morning and after-school cartoon time.

Eh, I kind of agree. I would have loved for Cam Clarke or James Avery to reprise their roles, but I'm happy with what we got. It wasn't terrible.

wtf was the deal with the cartoon turtles with them replacing michaelangelos nunchucks with that turtle rope with hooks on it? i never got why they changed that at all.

funniest turtle thing i ever saw though was an episode of regis and kathylee where they had raphael come to the show. they had a shit load a kids up front excite to see their favorite turtle their own personal toys in hand but when he finally came on it was just the guy who did the voice. to see the hapiness fade out of those kids faces was priceless.

In the UK nunchuks are absolutely illegal to own or to even display being used on television, so they had to change the original show because of it.

that explains that it was probably cheaper to just change it altogether than to change it for other countries and keep it the same here. question if thas the case did they edit that guy out of soul calibur there? and why are they so illegal in the uk?
They showed that in this movie? I've never seen him use anything like that.
its in the later seasons of the first cartoon series.

From what I heard they replace his nunchucks with a 3-section staff.

The laws restricting the use and display of nunchucks have relaxed a bit since then. I'm not sure if they edited Soul Calibur, but they probably didn't have to.

These laws were what got the original show renamed, too. Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, which just sounds goofy.

I would have loved to see Lord Dregg in this. He was a villian in the later seasons (96/97)

Just watch the whole thing. I loved it so much.

I wasn't aware the 2002 series even ended! I lost interest a few episodes into Fast Forward and the "Lost" Season was constantly pushed back on dvd, but man, I'm buying all that stuff next pay check.
