Thought this was a pretty sweet deal. Your getting 39 or 40 episodes for only $24.84. :)

The volumes they sold before with only 12 to 13 episodes were like $10 to $12 themselves. Best Buy was selling Season 4 for $34.99 or something close to that and that was a sale price.

$24.84 is everyday price for this at Wal-Mart.

I checked walmart.com earlier today (as well as BB and CC websites) to find the best deal for the season and the .com said it was $29.99. I was pretty happy because it was $5 cheaper than BB or CC were showing so I went on to the store.
Hit the register to see it even $5 cheaper than I expected!

I'm the proud owner of Season 4 of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...
The way it should be, with Cam Clarke as the voice of Leonardo.

Congrats.

Yah, I'm kicking it oldschool today. I bought Season 4, the TMNT movie trilogy, and purchased the Arcade game on my 360 today.

:)

Damn, that's amazing.

I really don't like supporting Wal-Mart, but when their price is almost 15 bucks cheaper than Deep Discount, I don't know how I can possibly pass it up.

Damn it.

How about you support YOURSELF by spending less money at Wal Mart, and pick it up?

I've been trying to find it on torrents, but can't, so I'm gonna hit up Wal Mart after work tommorrow and pick this up.
Your telling him to buy it, while you were searching for it on a torrent?

lol. Quite amusing.
Yes, because as a Cheapss (a renegade cheapass, perhaps?), I never go out and buy DVD's without first looking for the torrents.

Here is how I justify it: I'm not costing the movie studios any profit, because the only options are 1. Download the torrent, or 2. Don't see it at all. Either way, I'm not gonna pay for it :)

But I make a special exception for the Turtles. Which reminds me, I checked the 2 Wal Mart's in my town, and neither of them had it. Bastards. Now I'm gonna have to pay $10 more at Best Buy, if they even have it (in store pickup doesn't work right now, for some reason).

Ya, neither of my WM has them either. I paid $10 extra at BB and it killed me, but the Turtles are well worth it.

Condisering a disc of 12 eps is $10 (in the volume sets), 5 discs for $35 is a pretty nice deal.

This show is so great, mainly because it has recurring storylines, and the writing is full of jokes that adults will laugh it. So much better than todays crappy cartoons, with nothing but sight gags and 4 year old humor.

In the first episode of this set, the turtles go out on the town to find some pepperoni, and Raphael actually comments that the writers need to come up with better plot devices.

So I don't really understand that. To keep this on topic though, I also haven't been able to find it at WM either, so it definently does vary by location.

My Wal-mart didn't have any.

So I went to KMart and they had it for 27.XX. Not as good of a price but good enough.

Best part is I went to see what games were on clearence and the worker goes to open the glass case and sits something on the floor. I turn and it's a WII. I asked if it was a WII or a display case and it was a real WII. Someone had it on layaway and couldn't pay it off so I promptly bought it!!!

It seems unlike since the series is rather long. Hell, these prices aren't bad anyway. 39 episodes for 27? That's a steal when you think that Sopranos is 70-100 for 12 episodes.
It's a great deal, but did anybody stop to consider that they'll probably release the entire series in one grand package?
They are gonna release 190 episodes in one shot? That's damn near 70 hours worth of Nina Turtles, on 24 discs (if they keep putting 8 episodes on a disc like this set). That would probably run you close to $250, since I'm assuming they would charge extra for all the damn packaging that would be needed.

This series confuses me greatly.

They are now releasing the old Turtles cartoon in full season sets, as opposed to the tiny one or two DVD $10 sets they started with, I gather. However, Best Buy lists all of those $10 sets as "Season 1," "Season 2," etc, no multiple volumes. So can anyone clarify what has been released so far in what form?

I have this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6347107&st=ninja+turtles&lp=13&type=product&cp=1&id=1351366, which I think is "Season 1," but I assume that's not the whole season 1. But a Season 1 box set does not appear to be out yet.
never mind....all 10 seasons 194 episodes on torrentspy!!!!!

10.75 gigs, not bad
Don't talk about that stuff on CAG. Get caught by a mod and you'll get banned.

Okay, here's the basic breakdown of the volumes:

Volume 1 = season 1, yes, only 5 eps, it was a pilot season.

Volume 2 = season 2, 13 eps.

Volume 3, 4, 5, 6 = season 3, it was a much longer season and they opted to split it up so they could offer them at the same price as the other volumes.

Season 4 is season 4 as the name implies. They probably went with the set on this one since the new movie is coming out and they figured even a more expensive set would sell.

Ah, okay, so it's just mislabelled at Best Buy. They list up to Season 6, but that is apparently Volume 6. Guess I'll just wait it out and see if they rerelease Season 3 as one volume.

Wow I didn't think that this thread was THAT old...heh

just wanted to let anyone know who may never have gotten in on this deal that today when I was rearranging the dvds in the family kids section at Circuit City that I came across season 4 tagged and ringing up at $9.99. Thats one hell of a deal.
