Watched the latest "SmackDown in Roughly Five Minutes." During the AJ part, girlfriend said she's cute and asked if she's why I watch. I said no. With perfect timing, the video showed Sandow, and I said that's why I watch. Probably should have gone with AJ. Hmm. Most peculiar look.
And a damn shame about Wyatt/Harris/Rotunda. Dude is killing it with his promos. Would've been neat to see him on SmackDown (in Roughly Five Minutes).
Scorch, I'll be hyped to hear if he's the next guy to steamroll Slater. Those segments have become the second best thing about RAW behind the AJ era.
I have an invite to XtremeWrestlingTorrents for the first person who can correctly guess the wrestler who was on the first wrestling shirt I ever had was. There are two acceptable answers. First one wins.
The other answer was Goldberg. I was a big WCW fan as a kid, if you couldn't tell. Shoot me a PM with your email in it and I'll send you the invite.
Also, I was watching the Ladder Match 2: Crash and Burn on Netflix and the last match, Christian vs. Del Rio, just finished and I see a familiar face in the crowd:
I liked the guy who wore the backwards red hat and mechanic's shirt. His signs were usually pretty creative. He even made it onto a segment of that show that Mean Gene used to host (don't remember the name). I'm not really familiar with this current guy's signs but he couldn't have picked a more boring shirt to make his signature.

He was also on an episode of Dead or No Deal in 06:
Am I the only one who loved the angle WWE showed when Layla rolled AJ up?
Also, want to get the crowd to say yes more often? Let Daniels have a temper tantrum and say no. I wish they would just call it the Smackdown Supershow as well. One of the few Smackdowns I have actually enjoyed in awhile. Also love seeing the uMo sign.
He can come to Raw anytime, just, for the love of God, don't bring
The best super fan of all time is the Tye Dye Guy. I met him at WCW Uncensored PPV in Mobile, Al where DDP/Benoit/Raven had that triple threat were they threw I think DDP in the Uncensored sign. Also met him at the Nitros at Club La Vela in Panama City Beach. That dude must have some serious cash because I've seen him at ECW and WWE shows up North also. He wears some weight belt like the Hulkster does.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNfnR4wucRU
Funk got beaned at about :23 in in the back of the head and looked out of it. But damn, now I really wish I had made the effort to go see an ECW event live while they were still around.

I went once in Spartanburg SC. It was ing awesome. I'll never forget the look on that poor lady's face when Bubba told her he "wouldn't her with her son's dick", then said nah wait, she'd probably "rather have D'Von instead, cause she looked like the type of whore who'd rather suck a big black dick".
I saw ECW in Richmond in 1999 and RVD defended the TV Title against Spike Dudley in what remains the best wrestling match I've ever seen live. They went for at least 20 minutes and even though RVD was in the midst of his epic, near 2 year TV title reign, they did a great job of making it look like Spike was going to pull it off.
I think they only ever came around here once(or twice) to the one venue that the then WWF used to frequent at least once every couple of months back in the 80's & 90's.
I went to an ECW event. Still have the stub. It was the 12/24/99 episode of ECW on TNN (filmed on the 19th) where the Impact Players chained up Raven to the ECW entrance way. Masato Tanaka won the ECW title from Mike Awesome.. then Awesome powerbomb launched Tanaka over the top rope and through the table.
There's also a Hardcore TV episode that was filmed, but I never got a chance to see it. I do remember that Rhino gored Sandman through a table and I was able to talk to TNN execs after the show and keep a little piece of the table. He jokingly made me promise not to eBay it. Awesome night. I should scan the pictures I have from it.
I went to three different ECW shows in and around Atlanta. Talked to the Dudleys briefly at the first, New Jack was a dick at the second and the third was a TV taping. I was second row ringside across from the camera. During a 6-man things were getting crazy and someone broke an aluminum crutch over someone else's back. The top half flew into my row just to the right of me. Myself and 2 other guys scrambled for it and I came up with it. When I stood up the cameraman had the camera pointed right at me. I immediately held the crutch up and yelled like a buffoon. I still have the crutch. Ah, memories.

That's awesome. No one here would've done anything different.
I got to see two TV tapings when they were just a little past their prime (I was present for the first time the Dudleys did the flaming table, as well as the era when they had Sid coming in to squash people). I show up on the tape several times with a few annoying inside joke signs just to amuse some friends and I, as well as a "ZAC HANSON 3:16" sign. Yeah. For the Dudleys flaming table show a kid I was coaching in wrestling had front row seats, so by the end of the show we were right in the front facing the camera.
Those shows were ok, but I was extremely fortunate to also be able to see them at the tail end of their prime years (just after Barely Legal in '97). It wasn't even a TV taping but the card was stacked with a ton of awesome talent. At one point RVD jumped off the top and literally landed right on me in the 2nd row and kicked a fat dude next to me in the head at the same time. Good times, mang.
I live about an hour outside of Philly, I went to almost every ECW at the ECW Arena from May of '96 up until the last show there. My first show was RVD vs. Sabu and the ring broke, so they have Kimona come out and dance for us while they fix the ring. We always got General Admission tickets, and we found out quickly to get there around 3:30/4:00 for a 7:30 Bell Time. Part of the action was taking to everybody else waiting and then watching the fools before the doors opened. I have many good memories of ECW. Great times!
Angelina Love, a record-setting five-time TNA Women’s Knockout Champion, announced Sunday via Twitter that she has been granted her release from TNA Wrestling.
No surprise there, she's barely been on Impact for months. Personally, she never did much for me outside of the initial incarnation of The Beautiful People. Now it's probably only a matter of time before Winter is released (and she's barely been seen in months as well).
I suppose all this Sheamus build-up could have a good pay-off. And I guess Vince does need to die. Seems like the sooner he dies the better the product will be.
You guys and your ECW discussion.. I read it before I went to bed last night and had my second ever wrestling dream (the first was when I was a kid - had a dream I was going up against Hogan).
A ton of ECW guys were at my house hanging out along with Hall and Nash. Sandman was piss drunk and wanted to go swimming. Hall and Nash were 96-era Hall and Nash. I went to ask Hall if he was going to be in WWE '13 because I wanted to have an Outsiders tag team without having to deal with the XBox Live servers and finding a decent Hall CAW, but I woke up before I could ask.

Did your dream also include you bitching at the wrestlers to not spoil their surprise appearances and then you doing it yourself?
Would have been even better if someone had not ruined the big surprise for the week. Oh well, maybe next week someone will keep their mouth shut.....
Yeah, what a jerk.. that guy.
If you guys missed the commercial after Raw went off the air:
I picture this in Bobby Heenan's voice - Punk was so lightheaded from that kiss, that AJ tried to grab him and he fainted and fell right on DB through the table!
Oh man, I marked out so hard for Doink cause he is a great friend of my fathers cause my dad use to do a lot of electrical installs for him and he treated our family great. Good tips, extra tickets to events and of course more work for my dad. To see him lose to Slater, I was pissed. Then DDP came out and I marked out again. They better send this off on the three hour Raw with an amazing legend!

You are aware there have been multiple Doinks, right?
Just watched the DDP/Doink/Slater segment. Ain't gonna lie: I felt a little disappointed when I heard them use his sub-standard WWE music instead of his iconic WCW music. But, it was nice to see the Diamond Cutter instead of Orton's awful RKO.
