Victor Lucas gives the game a 10/10. There have been rumors spreading that Mr. Tallarico gave it a 7.5/10 but this is not true. These are the real scores.

EDIT: Tommy gives Star Fox Assault a 9/10. Vic gives it a 7/10.

wasn't the review given a couple of weeks ago. I don't know, but I heard he gave the 9.5 because it was on the gamecube. But that is just rumor and shouldn't be taken as fact.

OK?

Who is he, and why should we care? It's been out over a month and 90% of the people here that have it have beaten it already..

Who? Why do we care?
Same thing I said in my post. :imwithst:
Tommy Tallarico is a video game musician (worked on Prince of Persia, Metroid Prime, Earthworm Jim, and many more) and he has 2 TV shows on G4TechTV. He is often flamed because people think that he hates Nintendo, but he has gone on record saying he is not. I posted it because there were rumors that said he gave it a 7.5, which we now know is not true.

Thank god for that, I slit half my wrist thinking he only gave this game a 7.5. I was able to call the Dr. just in time thanks to the clearing up of this rumor.
proving once again that tallarico sucks at reviewing games.

it's a 0.5 at best
? Hey I should send you tickets to planet earth so you can pay us a visit sometime.

I was sick today, so I managed to watch G4 for a few hours. God it's painful tv to watch. What self-respecting video gamer watches this crap. I agree that Tech TV ws at least interesting and provocative....but now it's just sponsor-kissing junk.

Tommy is generally known for giving low scores to most any game on a Nintendo system. This just proves that Tommy can review something based on its actual merits once in a while. Alright, Tommy! I knew you had it in you! :D

Tallarico certainly does not appear in the credits to Metroid Prime anywhere. From what I've read he was fired fairly early on in development.

My guess is that Tallarico was planning on giving the Gamecube version a 7.5/10 and then give the PS2 version a 10/10, but perhaps he realized that would make him look really stupid (not that he doesn't already).

Tommy Tallarico is a great man, very hilarious, and his music compositions are delightful.

Personally, I love how he reviews games, it's his opinion but fanboys gripe about how his opinions don't reflect the world of gaming's.

It's a nice change and the man is a good guy, spoken to him before.

I find it stupid that people are so offended by his taste, he has an attitude, but it's a great thing, and people should stop complaining about HIS opinion.

I find it stupid that people complain about other people complaining about a man who acts like he's 14 years old. Especially since the people complaining about Tallarico's low-brow antics are just voicing their opinion too. So following your logic, people should not complain about people complaining because it's THEIR opinion, right?

why would you care what anyone rates a game. Go out and play it for yourself. Rent the game first if you want to know if you like it or not. There are tons of games where people gave it a 9 out of 10 or higher and i hated the game. GTA as one example and some games they give low ass scores and i Like the games a lot .

so just go rent the games and who cares what others rate games

one dude could love fighters but hate rpgs and you know for a fact they will give a higher score to a fighter then a rpg even if that rpg blew that fighter out of the water

Tommy gave a game released for Gamecube a 9.5; that's all anyone really needs to know. Tommy has officially broken his ongoing record of dissing any and everything on a Nintendo system. :D

I like Judgment Day - I think Tommy and Victor are pretty funny. I don't take his opinions seriously, but the show shows the games a bit, mentions some pluses and minuses, and is funny.

Just take it as entertainment instead of a serious game review show and you'll probably enjoy it more.

I like Tallarico....he's a damn good game musician and he's funny as hell on the show(s) (how many things have been stuffed down his pants?)

For him to give anything a 9 or higher is a big deal.

I think some of you guys are giving him much too praise for the rating. I mean if you have ever seen JD you'll know that, for example, if game X has an excessive amount of violence, nudity, any kind of bathroom humor, or any combination of the following; Tallarico will always rate that game extremely higher than it should be. Just because you're a so-called "musician" (taking Disney music and transferring it to MIDI for Aladdin on Genesis zomg111) doesn't exactly qualify you to rate games
X-Play is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than JD. Morgan Webb is TEH BUTTSEKZ worthy.
well, she is more like TEH PAPERBAGOVERHERHEAD while BUTTSEKZ worthy.
I watch G4 every once in a while and only because I think Sarah Lane is smoking hot!
Substitute "Diane Mizota" for "Sarah Lane" and I agree completelt.
Tallarico is a douche and shouldn't be taken seriously. He's the posterboy for everything that is wrong with the gaming industry today.
so he gives herpes to every gamer that plays Draken and the 100 Dragons?

Yeah, since composing quality music and having a opinion differ from your own is so evil.

G4 killed my Tech TV. That's evil.

Will Tommy Tallarico ever become rare/valuable?
Yes, but I doubt anyone will acutally want to collect him.
Then only rare, not valuable.

Tommy Tallarico has his ups and downs. Often he seems like a scene from Roger Rabbit, where toons have entered the real world.

I came into contact with him through a deceased friend who worked at Game Fan in the mid-90s. This got me along for the ride to Tommy's house in San Juan Capistrano with the Ferrari always parked out front. The guys likes his icons of ostentation, although not without humor. Lot of pinball and arcade video machines inside the place.

On the good side, the first time I saw the 'Christmas Story' short that led to South Park was at a New Year's party at his house. The shock value then was so great that tape must have gotten played 30 times that night.

On the negative side, he's really big boxing fan. Loves Rocky and Ali. At one point, 1998 or 1999, he wanted to get into game design and the first project he had in mind was a boxing game. He had a small gathering to discuss ideas and I got dragged along by my friend on short notice. I'm largely indifferent to sports games and didn't think I'd have anything to contribute.

I did have one idea. The PS1 Dual Analog controller had become standard just a few months earlier and it occurred to me that each stick could be a boxer's arm. This would allow precise aiming and allocation of power in a way that was unprecedented in boxing games. Nobody liked my idea. Several years pss and then I read a review in XBN about the revolutionary yet somehow familiar control scheme in EA's latest version of their boxing franchise.

If he'd only listened. He coulda been a contenda.

Wow, that is freakin amazing. I had an idea for dual analog control for sports games, but my idea was for a basketball game where players could pull off moves using the dual analog control sticks. If only he had listened.

Yeah... I'm going with Scorch on this one. Who ever this guy is... he is late to the game. So, it doesn't matter what he thinks of it... I have had it, played it, and beat it. He is intitled to his opinion... but come on... who cares.

NOTE: Ryan Nordeen rated RE4 as a 9.999999999, so go buy it!

I totally agree. I hate G4 for what they did to TechTV. The only good show G4 has IMO is Icons, and TechTV used to have so many good shows.

This reminds of the commercial that comes on sometimes during Jeopardy for some company that specializes in patenting.

"Snap your fingers, the light turns on. That was MY idea, but I'll never see a dime!"

I remember a party he invited people from the G4 message boards into his house. Now, I don't know about you, but that's very, very nice of him. Besides, when I've spoken to him he just says a lot of what he says for humor (see, Maddox), because he's actually a very nice guy.

But, back on TechTV, I miss Call for Help, original Screensavers, and Unscrewed! I was in the Unscrewed Army and now it gets canned.

And they stole the "Girls Gone Wired" segment from Unscrewed and made it into a shown of it's own... a stupid CGI beauty pagent.

tommy tallarico shouold be exploded with his fans

and the best part of that commercial is the youngish man looking at the skates and rollerblades.

those were invented a long time ago, dude.
