How wasn't he being a douchebag about it?

I thought he had been joking, like he always does so I didn't mind, but if he really had a problem he should have PMed instead of trying to be an attention whore about it.
Yup, but instead of trying to work something out, the neg gets left.

And working something out usually consists more than 'I bet that $$$$a didn't even send it out' posts.

There could have been more discussed in private, but that's what is out in the open. Gotta side with zew (and his much higher FB) on this one.
As far as I know, Zew saw those posts and never said anything. There were mistakes on both sides.
If I sent a guy payment that got lost in the mail I'd be apologetic about it. Not jumping down his throat like an asshole.

Work it out with Pooky and TFN. I agree it's probably better left out of the OTT at this point.
How am I the asshole?

If he wasn't be such a douche about it, I would gladly have worked something out. But, he tries to bring this out in the open like it's everyone's business.

And I was apologetic, except you didn't see that because when I handle my transactions I stick to IMs and PMs.

whoa whoa whoa whoa. This shit needs to be handled in private. No need to be putting each other on blast. I don't see why zew would want to rip you off. I received payment for the usb to SATA cables I sent him.

I'll quote (or paraphrase, I'm too lazy to find the exact quote) TFN himself on this one:

'What kind of idiot takes everything on the INTERNET seriously?'

He fucks around too much. That much is on him.

Fair enough.

I'd suggest PMing you side of the story to Pookey because I suggested TFN do the same earlier.

TOB has some interesting cheesemints. But it also have a bunch of ones that involve finding a ton of things over the course of a game. I think I'm going to ignore all of those.

Everytime I consider listing one of these games on eBay, I tell myself it's possible I could play them again.

Stupid brian. Stop thunking.

what kind of gamer are you, you monster!

I'm pretty mercenary about it. I generally trade or sell any game as soon as I'm done with it. I very rarely want to go back to something I've played vs. picking up something fresh. Even the lure of a cheesemint for a 2nd play through hasn't been enough.

I died a little inside when I typed that.

I'm the opposite. I never have any real intention of replaying a game but I keep them around anyways. I think that's because I really got burned selling back and trading stuff I really should've kept in the past.

Yep. Even though I always tell myself I'll go back to it.
I don't think he was a douchebag about it. He probably should've PMed Zew, and Zew should've used DC.
You can't put delivery confirmation on a regular envelope. I've tried and the post office wouldn't let me. I can't remember the reasoning.

Oh, yeah. It's thickness, I think (which is sort of lame).
I guess you don't know me very well.

The most sad, depressing movies are my favorite. I enjoy a film that weighs on your heart, it has more feeling and meaning.
I don't think it's something a 13 year old should be watching. Not so much because of explicit content but you won't get the same thing out of it that someone more mature will.

Suit yourself, though. Get a bowl of popcorn and make a nice movie night out of it with your 10 year old brother.

(I hope your gammy walks in during the scene where the camera lingers on a zoom shot of the girl's genitals for 3 minutes whilst she's at the back alley abortionist getting a coat hanger up ins.)
Wait, when did you get RB, Frost? I thought you were saving them pennies for an iPhone?
Sort of a present for chika on Valentines Day.

GDC 2008: Harmonix Talks Phase
Harmonix cops to iPod music game origins and talks about letting you use your own tunes in Rock Band 2.
by Levi Buchanan

February 22, 2008 - Harmonix, best known as the music game developer behind the Guitar Hero and Rock Band juggernauts, hosted a session at the Game Developer's Conference this week to discuss Phase, its iPod game. The session essentially went over the nuts and bolts of developing a music game for the iPod, but the most interesting factoid from the presentation was when Harmonix's Chris Foster revealed that Phase originally started on the PlayStation Portable. However, Harmonix was concerned about the hassle of moving music files to the PSP, so the project tilted toward the iPod, which had become the de facto music player.

In talking about the ability to use a personal library of music for Phase (called Procedural Generation), Foster did say that Harmonix is indeed looking into ways to allow players to port their own music into Rock Band. However, due to tech limitations (and also the apparent financial boon of selling song downloads), this feature would have to wait for Rock Band sequels.

In their slide show presentation, Harmonix showed a flash from the PSP game -- and it looked remarkably close to Frequency and Amplitude, which were the developer's criminally underplayed rhythm games for the PS2.

I'd buy it in an instant when this happens.

What would you be charging for shipping both Yoshi's Island DS and R&CF:ToD shipped?
You can't put delivery confirmation on a regular envelope. I've tried and the post office wouldn't let me. I can't remember the reasoning.
For first class, it has to be an envelope 3/4" or thicker.

For something smaller, you'd need to send it certified + return receipt to get back some indication that it arrived.

It's just BS talk to get people talking.

1. Technical nightmare
2. Guaranteed garbage note charts
3. Piss off the recording industry that they need on their good side

I think Phase is as close as we're gonna get from them.

$11.

Pshh, I don't watch movies like that with other people.

Oh, but Frost, all of the Yoshi's Island guides are sort of iffy if you are looking to collect. They sort of seem like they got wet, the pages are crinkly. It's an issue with the small guide size, as all of them were like this according to other people.

Just so you know.

That's fine... I think they'd be more for Chika than for me, as she's started a game of yoshi's island DS (i'm almost finished with it, but a guide with pictures is probably helpful for that game) and has expressed interest in R&C (she started playing the original awhile back)... PM me whatever paypal info you need or whatever.
Cancelled AutoVantage.
Still haven't recieved credit for it though. :/ I filed an MCR, too.

What are the confirmation numbers for when you cancel?
in case they charge your credit card for the subscription. it proves you really did cancel it.

No, I don't want to do anything to do with PSN until I get a PS3.

If you're telling me these games are proof that it will be done

1. They're incredibly niche titles so they fly under the radar.

2. It's a lot different when you're dealing with abstract umm...gameplay(?) like in Beats and Phase than when you're dealing with real instruments. Imagine how complicated it would be to get ~accurate charts for drums, vocals, and guitars(two of them!) in a song when they just bleed together on the record. They already spend a lot of time and effort to engineer the tracks they give us and people still complain about the charts. This is totally a pie in the sky idea IMO. They can't even get visualizers right yet FFS.

UPS just dropped off my Strat and I got Oblivion GOTY to install. :D
JFD, how long is the AutoVantage trial?
I think it was 30 days. :/
I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere.
Canceled it on the 21ist day.

Thanks Chika.

What do you mean you don't want anything to do with PSN?

You can get Beats off the PC.

I was thinking guitar only, not even the other instruments.
You're right though, who knows.

It can happen though, with research, and a big budget behind it.

Does anybody want OXM demo discs? I just pulled them out and saw that I had a few. I don't really ever use them. They are all 360 compatible discs.
I want the OXM disc with Rock Band songs. :/
I wish I had that one. :/

The only real valuable one I have is the one with all the oblivion content on it.
