Too Human's 360 Trilogy
Silicon Knights announces ambitious next-gen plans.
by Patrick Klepek, 05/18/2005 11 of 14 users recommended this story.
The next step for former Nintendo 2nd party Silicon Knights has been revealed in the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly. The company is currently working with Microsoft on turning the futuristic world of Too Human into a next-generation trilogy on Xbox 360.

Too Human is a project the studio has been kicking around for years. Originally announced as an original PlayStation game, Silicon Knights has kept a lid on the idea ever since, though the game has appeared several times since, most recently as a GameCube title. Silicon Knights previously announced a publishing partnership with Sega, but this announcement confirms the deal covers another game in development at the studio. Stay tuned to 1UP.com for more details on the planned Too Human trilogy following Microsoft's official announcement.

Intersting that x360 is getting two games that been changing system.
kameo - N64 - Gamcube - Xbox - X360
Too Human - PS - Gamcube - X360

Don't forget PD0...and conceivably all of the other RARE titles as they have been slow to release from GCN-XBOX-XBOX360

anyhow, maybe Microsoft has been deliberate and has planned the 360 launch more carefully than we all imagined.....

Given that Too Human was supposed to be released for the PS1, I take everything about it with a huge grain of salt.

I mean this is good but maybe they never really had a solid concept. Thats why it was delayed. Maybe they are bringing it name form only.

What I mean is maybe Microsoft wants Too Human from Silicone Knights because they know how the gaming press will eat it up.

That doesnt mean the game is actually going to be good.

Well, I am speaking solely on the condition that it is a great game in the vein of what they were originally designing. If it is another Halo, just something for me to poop on!

no, I don't think m$ is that smart, I just don't think rare is that good anymore. Rare doesn't have selling power with me anymore, and I bought SFA (Starfox Adventures) because I got it cheap and one day will play it, but for me, it has been all down hill since the N64 and as for Silicon Knights, I did have high hopes for them, but denis dyack just sold his sole to Bill Gate$, and I see that as sad personally, so bye bye SK :( No Xbox ever for me!

So it would somehow be different if Dyack sold his 'sole' (how will he walk now, poor lad) to Kaz Hirai or Satoru Iwata?

It's a publishing deal, you ninny. No first born sons or intangible organs are involved. The important aspect is that they've convinced Microsoft they can truly deliver this title after a ridiculously long development cycle. One would have to wonder if it had been technologically too ambitious for previous platforms or what else the main problem was keeping it from fruition.

I agree. Get over who makes the system. The xbox has many great games. Your missing out!

I can't wait for the xbox 360. I'm saving my F.Y.E. credit for one. By the way, anyone know where I can buy more Room Zooms?

Damn right:

Ninja Gaiden
Armed and Dangerous
Morrowind
KOTOR
The Otogis
Shemues
etc,etc,etc.....

XBOX 360
Perfect Dark Zero
New Morrowind
New Ninja Gaiden
Silicon Knights Project
Final Fantasy XI
Mistwalkers Project

Silicon knights have bad timing or are just anal about getting a good game. You look at there other games and it was suppose to be on one system ,but then the next gen comes out so they switch over.

Look at eternal darkness, It was suppose to be an N64 game, then switched over to the cube. then you look at kameo and too human and how man platforms have they gone through? Lets hope they get there shat together on these.
Damn right:

Ninja Gaiden - original (and damn good)
Armed and Dangerous - PC port
Morrowind - same here
KOTOR - ported to PC
The Otogis - a good game, but not a must own
Shemues - ported from DC
etc,etc,etc.....
Only two exclusives on the whole list? You can do better than that.

Actually I will "miss out" too, but I don't really think I am missing out on halo and the worst controller to ever grace the console world. That said, I will NEVER EVER give m$ my money, not for ms office, not for ms os, not for anything including thier crappy games they bought and have been drug around through the dirt for far to long that make promises and don't deliver. Just my thoughts, hope you don't like them ;)

If you think the controller that has shipped with the majority of Xbox units is the worst ever, your experience must be very limited. The controller S doesn't even make the Top Ten list of worst video game controllers.

It really amazes me how some people have such a bug up their ass about Microsoft. Makes you wonder how they deal with real threats to their life and well being rather iinocuous software companies.

Damn, I've been waiting for Too Human since the Playstation days. It sounded like an interesting game from the previews I had read way back when. Hopefully, we'll see it some day.
