Hey folks,

I used to rely heavily on a very nice Windows application for tracking prices at Amazon.com. Here is the link. However, it stopped working recently due to changes in the Amazon web service API which are basically intended to prevent such applications from working. Seems like a bad move for Amazon, but there it is.

Do you know of a good alternative, one that covers everything at Amazon (not just games)? I was also using it to just record items I am interested in, price aside. If there is another thread on this subject, just point me in the right direction; I didn't see one at first glance.

Thanks!

Aye, make a list, check it... way too many times. :D

Well, I did find this, which may be familiar to some of you: http://nukeprice.com.

They do have a desktop application, but it is not quite as nice as the app I used to use. This should work for now. Let me know if you find something else. Thanks!

Well, that looks about right. How did I miss that? Thanks, I'll give that a shot.

UPDATE: Yes, that does the trick! It's quite a bit slower to interact with than a desktop app, so transferring my 100+ tracked items will take a while. However, it keeps a decent price history and isn't likely to fail with the next Amazon API change. Thanks again.
