The advantage of going to the Columbia Mall? Ykes. Where exactly are you at?
The Columbia Mall has really spiraled in the past five years since Target moved out. Hopefully the new food court will bring better businesses. The shops over by SuperTarget are doing very well and I am happy to see that.
I hate that pretzel place. A long time ago, I tried one that had meat in it, and they undercooked it.
Hey, my friend works there... I love getting "free" prezels!

Well, I'm not accusing your friend of anything, I doubt he was working there when I was at that age. Some of the pretzels there are good, though. I never tried the meat pretzel ever again.
*gasp* My opinion's been flamed! Holy shit! I'm very depressed now.

Honestly, do you think that you come off as a movie buff by saying "What, you like something that isn't generally considered a masterpiece? BUNK! BUNK I SAY!" and then calling me kid every couple of lines? What would you expect in a good list, doing a copy/paste job of IMDB's top ten? God forbid I have an opinion, ya? And Happy Gilmore's been out for, what, a decade? Excuse me for seeing it within that decade. If I were to throw in the LotR Trilogy, the Matrix Trilogy, Seven Samurai, and a bunch of oldies but greaties, you would have your dick in its ass in seconds? I wouldn't consider you a movie buff, because a movie buff is someone who knows his movies, not one that runs around, dicking around, showing off on what a big movie buff he is. What's your top ten? I'd like to see it, so I can randomly blurt out long words and call it bunk because it doesn't adhere to my opinion.

Edit: #1. I know, but it's not easy to see old movies. The movie channels I got are Starz, Showtime and Turner Classic Movies. I know it may be on TCM one of these days, but TCM doesn't re-air movies often.

#2. Thanks. At least someone understands what an opinion is. :3
I'm sorry, but this guy just completely destroyed you all. None of you have room to speak anymore. So shut the hell up and go find other topics to make yourselves look good in on the internet.

As for the your movie list, the ranking is random, but that's just your taste. I do see some classics, a few Pixar films, some Quentin Tarantino films, but overall, I'd say it's a pretty good list of films with some exceptions. Oh, and Terminator 2: Judgement Day at #96? That hurts me.

I think it would be impossible for me to actually give a rank to my top favorite movies. I may give it a whirl if I get the time at a later time.

Well, I do admit that later in the list, it's not actually COMPLETELY finished. many movies get shuffled around and even deleted - I once had the delusion that The Butterfly Effect was a good movie, and put it in my top 30. Now it's not even in my top 150. Also, I never cared much for Terminator (I mean, enough for both of them to be in my top 100). It's a great movie, but it doesn't hold my interest as much as others. Although, the problem may be just that I haven't seen it in a while.

The movies that I think are some of cinema's greatest masterpieces are Fantasia, 12 Angry Men and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Not to say that they're the only ones, but those are the ones that I think of when I think of a masterpiece.

So, anyone wanna show their top ten? I promise I'll go easy. :Þ

Anger Management's somewhere on my established list, but only because I admire Jack Nicholson and thought he did a great performance in this movie.

No, it's not that I have no more to speak but rather I gather that everyone, like myself, has already added another one to the ignore list. I wouldn't have even known about it without your quoting. Thanks.

I know I did, and I didn't even read the topic.
I've never seen Philadelphia Story, but I plan to.
It's really great but I like "His Girl Friday" (which is on your list) a little better.

Troll Man SPRINGS into action!

#1. Ah. I'll have to rent it/see if it's on TCM.

#2. Lemme comment on your list:

1.Star Wars Episode V:The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI Return of the Jedi - Good... but they're not as good as eachother in my opinion, or good in different ways, so I don't think they should be grouped together. c_c
2.Pulp Fiction - Good.
3.Fight Club - Never seen.
4.Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope - Behind RotJ? Well, different tastes, I guess. c_c
5.Return of the King - Eh, I thought LotR was a pinch overrated. -o-
6.Princess Mononoke - Good.
7.The Matrix - Eh, I can see why people like it. A fluke for the Wachowski Bros.
8.Dawn of the Dead (Remake) - Oh come on now... I mean, I don't mean to bash your list, but the remake? It isn't even a Zombie movie.
9.Toy Story 2 - Good.
10.The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly - Only seen part. Set to record this Saturday.

#3. Taxi Driver - Never seen
Casablanca - Never seen
Fight Club - Never seen
Wild Strawberries - Never seen
Ikiru - Never seen
Seven Samurai - Never seen
8 1/2 - Never seen
Finding Nemo - Pretty good
Le Trou - Never seen
Godfather I&II - Never seen either (I've actually made it a point not to, same with Fight Club)
Psycho - Good
Notorious - Never seen
The 400 Blows - Never seen
12 Angry Men - MASTERPIECE O_O
A Clockwork Orange - Good
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - Good
Brazil - Never seen
The Manchurian Candidate - Seen part
Raging Bull - Never seen

I really have to brush up on my movies... for instance, I've been meaning to watch Metropolis (the old one), but I haven't really had the time to watch it. It's not a movie you can watch it and do something else at the same time.

#4. It's not that I don't like Casablanca, it's just that I can't possibly form an opinion on it, on account of the fact that I've never seen it. T_T

I disagree. The #1. and #2. are my #1. and #2. movies because I can easily watch them multiple times without getting bored. Pulp Fiction's biggest flaw is that it drags on kind of.

Casablanca - Never seen

Your opinion on anything related to movies is, in fact, now rendered irrelevant (at the very least).

Don't take it personal, its just that with the mention of these 5, along with I'm sure tons more, you have at best a very incomplete understanding of cinema.

Some of my favorites, in no particular order at all:
Seven Samurai
South Park
Office Space
The Big Lebowski
Star Wars IV-VI
Kill Bill Vol 2
Aladdin
Psycho
LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring

-_- I've seen too many posts like these - 'Your opinion is irrelevant' based on the fact that I haven't seen Seven Samurai or Casablanca. I never saw movies like Arsenic and Old Lace until a while ago, so I'm bound to see the former two.

It's like posting your list of your favorite classical music and then admitting you've never listened to Beethoven. Your knowledge on the subject is limited, and therefore there's really no reason for anyone to be interested in your opinion on the matter.
I doubt The Good the Bad and the Ugly or either Godfathers would make it; I'm not much for Gangster or Western flicks.
You see? These are good FILMS, genre being completely irrelevant. You say you like Quentin Tarentino's films? Well, he says The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is the best directed film ever. And you don't want to see it? Making a point to avoid some of the best films ever made (your other post which had Fight Club on it) is ridiculous. When you've made an effort to see these movies, then we'll talk.
...I said they wouldn't make my top five.

And MR. Satan Guy, you seemed interested enough to still be talking in this topic after two days.
One can bash and be disinterested, they're not necessarily mutually exclusive

I'm not bashing them. Hell, I got 'My Name is Nobody' on my list. Westerns don't normally interest me, but a good one does. c_c

And on Godfather, I'd prefer to see Goodfellas first. c_c

The kid at #9? as in the bruce willis movie?

Anyways here is my top 10
#1. Pulp Fiction
#2. Office Space
#3. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
#4. Saving Private Ryan
#5. Old School
#6. Fargo
#7. Finding Forrester
#8. Full Metal Jacket
#9. Remember The Titans
#10. Se7en
To this day, I still don't understand why do people like Spirited Away so much. :?:
It is weird. My girlfriend, who is no anime fan by ANY means, loves the movie. I thought it was kinda neat...

Yes, but I'm a sad and lonely man.

My Favorites In No Order:
The Matrix(All Time Favorite)
Pulp Fiction
The Last Samurai
Seven Samurai
Aliens
Hero
Cowboy Bebop:Knockin On Heavens Door(My Entrance To Anime)

To me a movie needs to be a work of art, enjoyable, and have very strong themes, symbolism, and beautiful plots, for me to consider it great...I have movies i watch endlessly but they are not greats.

Heres my top ten, in no particular order
The Godfather I
Fight Club
Training Day
Taxi Driver (thanks OTM)
Scarface
Saving Private Ryan
Gladiator
Taxi
Schindler's List
La Vita e Bella (Life is beautiful)
