Total # of games in your collection

3 whole inches. Beat that!

I hear they go up to 4 now
Somewhere around 500 games. If they had any value, I'd sell a lot of them but I'd rather hold on to them than get around $1 a game (I couldn't even be happy getting $10 for a game I paid $50+ for years ago even though the value has dropped so I'd rather keep it)
See, if I do end up buying a game for $50 (which is VERY rarely), I like to sell it when it can fetch at least $20 or so, and then just buy it back later at under $10.

4 inches?!?!?

That dick must be the alpha and the omega!

At the time of this post, I'm two away from 800.

SNES - 165
NES - 130
PS2 - 91
GBA - 85
Genesis - 84
PlayStation - 65
GCN - 60
N64 - 42
GB - 37
GBC - 17
DS - 14
Game Gear - 6
e-reader - 2
Now if you're talking about the PC Adventure games then that's a whole 'nother story. ;)
Of course I have all the PC games AND the GBA game! I wouldn't be much of a gamer if I didn't!;)

I have close to 1000, they dont take up a lot of room though as I keep the cart hidden in my entertainment center, and all their boxes and manuals are boxed up. Its hard to keep a small collection when you have so many pawn shops/thrift stores around you.

I have plenty of those, but none of them ever have any games!

I guess my town just isn't big on gaming.

A total of around 2850.
The majority of my games wouldn't fetch too much trying to sell them either. It'd be more hassle than what it's worth.
IMO, it's more of a hassle keeping tons of games. Having to move tons of games everywhere just gets annoying. Also IMO, having too many games can discourage me from playing newer games as much, due to being too overwhelmed.

I tend to get that feeling of being overwhelmed when I want to buy a new game, because then I feel that I have too many at home that I NEED to finish first.

I'm the same way. I'll buy a game that's cheap because it's easier to justify it, but I almost feel dirty purchasing a new release with so much other stuff I need to play through first.
I tend to get that feeling of being overwhelmed when I want to buy a new game, because then I feel that I have too many at home that I NEED to finish first.
Yeah. I badly want to get Persona 3 due to hearing great things about it; however, I haven't even put 1 hour into Rogue Galaxy and I have many other RPGs to play. I'm very tempted to buy Growlanser: Heritage of War (PS2) because it will be limited print. In all reality, I played Growlanser II and III for no more than 8 hours each. :( I try very hard to only buy what I'm going to play, but sometimes its hard to resists when I hear excellent impressions on a game, or when a game may become rare quick.

Stupid me, I was working on some RPGs late last year, but when I got Ar Tonelico, I stopped playing all the ones I got last year. When I got Atelier Iris 3 not too long ago, I haven't touched any previous RPG I got on PS2. Oh well, I'll find time to play my RPGs more. ;)

If I realize I have too many soon (and need to downsize more), I'll put up a massive list of games for sale (a lot of RPGs) on the trading forum here.

Although, I really don't understand the point of people buying tons of $5 they have no interests in, just to collect dust and maybe play once. I rather spend my money on more useful things, but it could be because I'm a broke college guy. :(
