okay, i searched for "tony hawk", "thpg" and "proving ground" (and scoured thru the weekly ad listings) and did not find this, so if it's a repost, please accept my humblest appy polly loggies.

i happened by TRU today to reserve Super Mario Galaxy, and by coincidence, i tripped across their Tony Hawk's Proving Ground endcap. both the 360 and Wii versions were priced at $39.99. i was already trying to find a good deal on the 360 game (for my nephew's birthday), so this was an excellent savings. this deal appears to have been going on all week and ends today, but i was so happy to find it, that i figured someone else might be, too.

Hmm.. anyone know of a pricematch guarantee with TRU. I bought Proving Ground at the B2G1 sale for $60. I checked the web site and couldn't find any mention of it.

actually, it's funny that you bring that up. when i finally decided to buy THPG, i was kicking myself for not getting in on the B2G1 deal and thought i'd missed out; at the time i couldn't decide on 3 games i wanted. but think about it -- buying 2 $60 and getting one free effectively makes the price of each game $40 (40x3=120). so basically, this is the exact same savings without having to buy two more games. BONUS.

though, if your cheapest "free" title was less than $60, i could see your point. however, i don't think they'll price match it, since that was a special offer on its own. i couldn't say for sure.
