Toys R Us, looks like no CAG will be getting a 360 from their

SpartanWarrior

CAGiversary!
The world leader of the Rzone just got word today via email from Corp. that our store will recieve exactly 8 Xbox 360 and even less of the core, and the big wammie is that

ONLY will be sold as a $600 bundle (Core system and 3 games I believe) $700 bundle (Xbox 360 premium w/ 3 games) not sure how many games.

This is a realy bummer since I was going to pick up a 360, looks like I will pass on it now.

Mine is only receiving 4 premium. The bundles have WIRED controllers too. I did the 600 bundle as a back-up. I like Madden, Live, and was going to buy Kameo anyways. So it worked out for me.

opps sorry your right, only 4 premiums and 4 cores

I don't know if its the same as last year, but last X-mas my Xbox shorted out and the only place I could find one was Toys R Us. They were selling them in a bundle that came with a Micro Controller and a $20 game (I think the total was $199).

Anyway, they rang each item up seperately, so i simply came back the next day and returned the crappy controller and the $20 game back to the store. So unless they ring up the whole bundle at $600 or whatever and the games at $.01, you should be able to return the games you don't want if they ring each up separately.

I've always wondered if you could do that. It's definitely worth a try. If I had a choice over an extra controller or a game I'd take the game. Thanks for the info.
I hate bundles. If you wait a month or two, you'll see no bindles.
unless you are shopping for a psp...in fact aren't they rebundling with a 1 gig stick for even more money? thought i read that somewhere

CORRECTION TO POST: all TRU's are only taking 8 TOTAL pre-sales for the 2 Xbox 360 bundles. So whether it's 4 $600's and 4 $700's, 5/3, 7/1, only 8 total can be sold unfortunely.

I work R-Zone at a TRU, and though I did not hear of any numbers of the premium system or the core system by themselves, we were allowed to sell 8 bundles TOTAL, of both bundles. So that means whether we sell 6 of the $600 dollar ones, and 2 of the $769 dollar ones, we can only have 8 total.

Bundle #1 ----about $609
-Premium System
-WIRED Controller
-Kameo
-Madden 06
-NBA Live 06

Bundle #2 ----about $769
-Premium System
-Wired Controller
-Kameo
-Perfect Dark: Zero
-Tony Hawk: American Wasteland
-Project Gotham 3
-1 or 2 other games (I forget which ones)

I'm sure if Perfect Dark and Project Gotham don't come out on or near launch, a manager may knock off $120 for you or compensate you somehow. It wouldn't hurt to ask or try.
