They had this last year, Andy. It looks like the B2G1 Free deal is dead. However, this mix 'n match deal was positively received here in 2009. I actually think it's better myself. I took advantage of it twice.

Does the "Spend $39.98 to $74.97, save $10" mean that if I only buy the Sly Collection for 39.99 I will only pay 29.99 for the game before tax?

Hmm not a bad deal for the Wii, $30 gift card, nice!

Also, does anyone know if this can be combined with Wii games that come with accessories? Mainly eyeing the Rapala fishing game, I'm not sure if that meets the restrictions or not.

Definitely tempted to get the Fable 3 LE and a cheap $20 game, though.
That is correct. Pretty much $10 off any $39.99-$69.99 games

would be nice if they had more selection of games :(
You could always try PMing at FS/BB!

I wonder if this qualifies online, as well. Free shipping w/ purchases over $100.

i think I'll actually be picking up Sly now if I can get it for $29
Great deal on the 250gb Alan wake Xbox bundle!!! $30 off.
Except Future Shop, Best Buy and Walmart all have it at $250. FS has 2 extra moldy oldies thrown in also.
Gran Turismo 5 and NBA JAM would be a nice combo.
I heard NBA Jam is a measly 1.3GB on the disc. I'm waiting until its $10 on clearance somewhere as it could have easily been a XBLA title...screw EA
Gahhh, when will Dualshock 3's go on sale at someplace where they actually carry pink?
Walmart.com has the silver on for $43, price match it at BB then do an even exchange for the color u want. It doesn't matter to BB b/c their all $55.
Off topic, but are there any deals on LEGO?
20% off all Lego Creator, excluding clearance
20% off City Fire Ship [55.97], City Farm [87.97], City Fire Helicopter [43.97], City Tractor [14.37] - those are the prices with 20% off already
15% off all Lego Pirates

Lego Harry Potter [regular prices]
Quidditch lesson - 26.99
Hagrid's Hut - 54.99

Some Hero Factory Lego sets listed at regular prices

I was wondering the same thing... anyone?

Thanks! Sadly, Lego City stuff isn't on sale. But it's still on sale today, so that's good.

Well, I've rented this one first to see for myself.

EDIT: After playing a few sessions, I agree with you. This is a $10 game. Maybe $15.

Any thoughts on Kirby Epic Yarn and Goldeneye for the deal?....I am on the fence because I have such a large backlog that I can hold off if the prices are likely to drop (I figure Kirby won't since Nintendo is the publisher). What about Goldeneye?

Goldeneye is a fairly popular name... I'm sure it will retain its price for a little longer than normal. I highly recommend Kirby though... great game with a fantastic art design.

Well I'm going to see if I can snag the Alan Wake CE and Sly Cooper for $99.98 - $30. Ends up being $25 for Sly Collection and $45 for Alan Wake, which ain't half-bad!

All games should be 10 (maybe 15) bucks really. This goes for all games ranging from big budget blockbusters to expensive niche games.

Thanks for the advice.

Cancelled my pre-order for Majin on Amazon. Hopefully Toys R Us will carry the game, if not I will try to match the promo @ BB/FS

29.99 for the game just got sweeter :D

So now the size of the game should determine how much it sells for? Nevermind how much time you get out of playing a game, it had better be 8 gigs to warrant the price!

I am sure if you want they can bloat those file sizes so you feel like your getting your moneys worth. Video game value to price conversations are subjective at best and utterly ridiculous at worst.

Good day!

Kirby's Epic Yarn received strong reviews all around. If you can get it for a cheaper price than $50, I'd go for it. It's not a long game if you rush through it but everybody says it's an amazing ride.

Goldeneye, to me, seems to be a rental-first kind of game.

Don't forget Donkey Kong Country Returns releases during the sale, too.

I think Kirby will drop as quickly as Wario Land Shake it (which is faster than other Nintendo published title). Its developed by the same company and is the same kind of game.

Id still rather pay 40$ at EB with edge credit that saves tax. Credit that I have earned paying less than 40$.

I think Kirby has more staying power (and is a more popular character) than Wario. Shake It! got very little press IMO.

I think Goldeneye will get the Call of Duty treatment and retain its value for some time.

I would be tempted too, but it's $10 off your next purchase and I don't shop at Toys R Us.

Huh? I'm fairly certain the discount is applied at time of purchase. At least, that's how it seems to be online.

additional note, apparently PC games arent included in the spend 100 get 30 off deal
went to get black ops (for PC) and they denied me

You're getting three games with Sly. I think the price is a steal as is. Of course, I'm biased. I love Sly Cooper and his gang. I'm sure trophy whores love them, too.

A list of few good deals

$29.99 - ($39.99 MSRP - $10)

Resident Evil Gold Edition
GTA 4 Complete Edition
Sly Collection
Majin the Forsaken Kingdom (not availiable in Toys R Us)
Senguko Samurai (not availiable in Toys R Us)

Great combinations:

Donkey Kong + Kirby Epic Yarn ($49.99 + $49.99 - $30) - $69.98 + tax
GT 5 or any $59.99 game + any $39.99 listed above ($59.99 + $39.99 - $30) - 69.98 + tax

Taking PM into consideration (Huge YMMV?)

Yakuza 3 ($25 @BestBuy) + Dante Inferno ($19.99 @Futureshop) - $10 = $34.99 + tax
DJ Hero 2 with turntable ($59.99 @Futureshop) - $10 = $49.99 + tax
Castlevania ($39.99 @Futureshop) - $10 = $29.99 + tax
Enslaved ($39.99 @Amazon) - $10 = $29.99 + tax

Got Wii Goldeneye with controller $69.99 (yes, this bundle qualifies) and Tatsunoko vs Capcom $29.99 for $30 off.

Unfortunately, I wanted get Fable 3 Ltd $79.99 with another Wii game at $19.98...and because it's 99.97...it's the $20 off. They weren't able to add 1 cent for me :(

@PuppetYuber

I think TRU doesn't do price matching. Nobody at the other site has called TRU a haven for that. Just FS, Wal-Mart, Zellers and BBC.

You were able to get the goldeney bundle eh? Damn, I tried to get Alan Wake and the Monster Hunter Tri bundle (with the black controller), but they told me since it was a bundle with hardware, it did not count towards the 10-30 dollars off.

Well, that's what they told me too, but I got them to scan and the system gave me the $30 off :D As for MH Tri, I read it was $30 (w/ controller) at FS last week.

The Golden Eye bundle isn't $89.99 and up though
The Golden Eye bundle isn't $89.99 and up though
I think "software bundled with videogame hardware" and "software priced $89.99 & up" are two separate rules, because someone else there asked about FlingSmash and I think the answer was no.

Don't ask, just get them to scan it. If it doesn't qualify the system should automatically exclude it. From what the sales told me, stuff like Wii Sports Resort didn't work. Goldeneye "shouldn't" work, but it does :)

Oops I got it wrong, I was looking at the part where you got a gift card with purchase of a Wii or DS which could be used on your next purchase. #-o
