Welcome to the Toys R Us clearance thread! Like all stores, Toys R Us also has clearance games-- and they often drop numberous times, such as going down to 19.98, 9.98, 5.00, and even as low as 3.00. There doesn't appear to be a set rhythm to when these drops occur, or how many of them will occur. Also, be aware that the games may not have their prices correctly marked-- generally, all TRUs will have the same pricing (there will always be exceptions) so do not let the price tag dissaude you from at least checking to see if it's at the price that it's been reported here.

Games, when possible, will have their SKU number posted. Please post any SKU numbers you have that aren't already in the list!

Also, some stores will be able to give you a price adjustment if your clearance game(s) drop-- if not, you can always try to return and rebuy the game(s).

Go back and get it. That game is impossible to find... every store is OoS around here except for some Gamestops which only have gutted copies for $40. It's going to be hard to find it at this price unless they reprint it... and S-E doesn't seem like the type of company to reprint games.
 
I picked up , all for 360: Rock Band Metal Track Pack ($6.36)...Rock Band Track Pack 2($14.23) and Bionic Commando for $9.99. Also added a $5 off TRU Birthday Coupon and I walked out only paying $27.95. Got some easy achievements from the track packs and I can add them to my Rock Band library! Good Deal!

LOL are you serious about SE not re-printing? If the title is a good seller they will for sure reprint.. How many Copies of FFVII sold? How many gamestops have a surplus of PS2 FF games used :lol:

S-E is about as much of a greedy game company as any other out there; however, one thing to note is that DQV wasn't a huge seller, and chances are they won't reprint. In my case, I am still searching for a copy-anybody think they can help me pick up a copy?

Actually, it is on clearance. Two local stores have it in the clearance bin and stickered at $9.98 which means the 25% off applies.

Your right Low sellers wont see a re-print but like you said they love the $$$ so if sells somewhat decent they will print the shit out of it. Its funny to me that most of the better games they release tend to be low sellers unless its the mainstream FF titles..

Just go to the store there is a ton of it, pretty much anything ending in $.98 and like I said there is a bunch so they just repriced them on the shelf.

These prices are not impressive on their own, but there are mailers going around with $10 Off coupons attached, and that combined with some $5 Rewards Bucks can make for a good deal.

God I love that game. One of the few DS titles I finished and played through a second time. It's pretty easy (maybe childish to some), but still really fun.

My TRU (Spokane Valley, WA) has a copy of Prinny PSP (I assume CE, bigger double-thick box?) for 24.98, if anyone's interested. Also, Riddick :360: 18.98 :ps3: 16.98

Many ps3 games including Sega Allstars Tennis, Endwar, etc. Nothing for me, but have at 'em.

Rocket Slime's an excellent game. I shook my head checking out a kid yesterday who got that and Tomb Raider for $7-something yesterday knowing I paid $30 for that game alone, albeit several years ago, at Best Buy.

The sequence towards the beginning where he swallows the flute is hilarious looking. :lol:
 
Just came back from TRU, picked up Prinny along with MHF:Unite, DQV and RB:Classic Rock Track Pack.

I also picked up a LeapFrog Tag Reader for $15
 
Looks like TRU price dropped a few of the clearance games yesterday per a shelf tag I saw today. Bayonetta is now $39.98 (the sign said through October or something weird like that) and Phantasy Star PSP is now $22.98. Hoping the 20% coupon stacks tomorrow with the clearance on these and other games.
 
I guess these prices and/or clearance sections aren't universal? I went to the closest TRU and didn't see anything new, or specially marked, or anything. I didn't specifically look at some of the higher priced clearance (Bayonetta), but nothing jumped out at me.

Did you scan anything? TRU is universal price-wise 99% of the time. It's more likely the employees at your store aren't being good about updating the tags.
 
The clearance I saw was awful at mine.

Most of the console games were more than MRSP

Finally scored Metroid Prime Trilogy at TRU after missing out on the Sears clearance. Got it for $26.90 after 25% clearance and 20% off coupon. But I got lucky with the 20% coupon, cause YMMV with it, cause it would not accept it at first but the cashier overrided it and gave it to me. I went to another TRU and tried to get Assault On Dark Athena for PS3 which was also on clearance and gave the coupon again which didn't accept again but this time the cashier said that the coupon couldn't be combined with the game clearance. I told him it should have said on the coupon that it excluded clearance games and when it said on the coupon that it couldn't be combined with other game offers it sounded to me like you just couldn't combine coupon offers. Oh well at least I scored MPT and there were still 2 copies left.

Total would be 50 - 10 for my coupon and DQ 9 comes with a 15 buck gift card

Total after gift card would be 25 bucks for dragon quest 9 and a 15 buck game (or 2 9.98 clearnce games

Your subtotal would have to be $50.

Since DQ comes with a gift card, only $20 would count toward the $50. Any clearance game you add, you have to add the total after the 25% discount is applied to add to your total.

The reason the coupon is not working, you can't have 2 of the same type of discounts on the same item anymore. Since the clearance games are 25% off, you can't add another % off coupon on the same item.

If you can get someone to override it, that's a plus as it shouldn't be done.

I had read earlier posts where people where stacking clearanced games 25% off with buy 1 get 1 50% off I thought it would be the same with the coupon but I guess not.

Best part is I opened it to find no Freakin Disc !!!!! Awesome so now tomorrow I have to try and return this damn thing... Anyone know how much profanity im going to end up using tomorrow?

Same thing happened to me at Sears, I purchased Wario Land: Shake It and to my dismay, no disc. They gave me a hard time and even went to shc-gamer here on CAG and none of them could do anything. Hell, I went as high as contacting Nintendo. They told me that wasn't right and the store should have done something. In the end, I went back to the lady I always purchase my games from and she gave me a new game.

Looking back, were there any clues that might have suggested it had been tampered with?

Really to say I didnt notice anything unless i just didnt pay attention.. it was Y-Sealed in the corners on top from where I opened it and it had the "R" zone security sticker on the back..
 
I always shake the game case to hear if it has a disc rattle sound inside. However, there's a few rare times you won't hear anything. Worst thing that's happened out of that so far is that someone went through the trouble of putting a crappy disc into a different case. I'm sure it was return fraud taken an extra step in case the employees did the rattle test.

Yeah the 25% comes off automatic with the clearance stuff.. Riddick was not marked with a clearance price on the shelf where it was, but I remember someone in here saying they got it cheap so I got it scanned.

I just wanted to mention this just because it may interest someone but this 25% off is store wide not just Video Games.. so anything laying around the place ending in $.98 is fair game..

Hey if u don't mind me asking how much was Chronicles Of Riddick before discount cause I saw u said u got it for $8 with tax but I have gone to a TRU and they are at $16.98 minus 25% which comes to $13.98 with tax .

It was most likely return fraud, when I talked to the Nintendo Rep. They told me before they get packaged in a box they get weighed and the quality control is so good, that they can tell if its missing a paper insert. Since that incident, I always ask to get the game behind the first one or even behind the 2nd one.

Dante's Inferno (same figure from Gamestop's preorder) dropped to 9.99 - 7.48 after clearance

Prototype - same deal as Dante

and the real winner - NECA Bioshock Big Sister/Little Sister 2 pack - reduced to 14.99, 11.24 after the 25 percent.


There's also the Prince of Persia movie figures at a steep discount, there's some decent stuff in the 4 inch scale including the Alamut Gate playset in the 3.50-10.00 range.

The new series has also started to hit the west coast - Little Sister/Eleanor Lamb 2 pack and Lady Smith Splicer for 13.99. Big Daddy Rosie for 19.99 - not sure if the Elite Bouncer is included.
