Alright before I start I will agree that it is my decision to this trade and I learned a lesson, BUT I just wanted others to be aware of the risks.
So back in February I saw a gentlemen who posted on the thread named RatedR Real name Eric Brumfield e-mail [email protected] asking for a loan for $450 because a Vita bundle from Playasia was canceled and he was waiting his refund. Now I am not wealthy by any means but I do have enough to help others when needed.
The deal was I loaned him $450 and he would use that money to buy a Vita, then when he got his refund from Play-asia he would pay me back $500 and send me his Nintendo 3DS since he was replacing it with the Vita. I agreed since he said he would only be 2-3 weeks before he received his refund, but not without having a conversation with him and having him send proof of the transaction. Ironically my name is Eric too, below is the initial conversation I had over MSN

I just have the email where the asked if they wanted me to continue order or cancel it. THen I can screen shot my play asia account where the order is cancelled. They should be refunding soon
They were on chinese new year when I ordered lol
and then when they came back I found better deals so I asked to cancel, and now the order is cancelled
but they aren't in on the weekend
Also in the email they said "One I close the dispute I opened against they will cancel my order and refund my money"
so Now i'm just waiting on the refund

I got nervous my first time ordering from them
But I closed the dispute
then they cancelled the order
and now my refund should be coming

My only concern is your order is from 21Jan12 and you posted on CAG asking for the money on 2Jan12, also I dont know if they funds were actually dedected from your paypal account. If you had insuffient funds they could have canceled your order

The good news is I did receive the 3DS (It smelled like an ash tray but it was not broken) and he did pay me back $400 in February. He said he didn't have the rest of the money at that time but would pay me pack a few weeks later. Needless to say its been a few months and he has stopped communications. I know he gets the messages since he changes his MSN profile picture every other day.
So that's it as of now hes Under Investigation on CAG but I don't know if they got a hold of him. I said him e-mails every other day but of course no reply. There is his Mothers cell phone 312-301-9081 but she wont put him on the phone. So I know this could have gone a lot worse, luckily it didn't. I would still just like a simple reply from the guy. If anyone on CAG wants to try to get in touch with him, maybe he would answer your e-mail's but he's definitely not answering mine...
