I got 2 months left on my 3 year warrenty and then if I RROD I will have to pay 100 dollars. If I can get between 130-150 ( including the deal ) and put 50-70 towards it for a brand new Xbox 360 with the new Chipset and 3 year warrenty do you think I should do it ?

My friend traded his Xbox in 2 days ago with FFXIII ( they said it froze so he reduced the price ) and got 110.

What do you guys think about this ?

I think I read that wrong. The offer EXPIRES on the 25th I believe.

I'm going to go up there tomorrow and see what I can get. 2 guys in the Game Stop thread reported 140 for theirs and they sold them 2 days ago.

60 Dollars for a new Xbox360 is worth it.

Dell.com was selling new 360s for $150. Check around online before buying a new one from GameStop.

if it gives you peace of mind, a new 3 year warranty I say go for it.

@Samurai_X51 - Also TIV's and using edge credit is tax free at GS, so you can potentially save more $ on merch or break even without the wait for shipping/handling.

Or you could call MS and buy an extended warranty for 30 dollars per year (2 years for 60). Thats what ive been doing since i got my 20gb.
