Hmm. Does this mean they give you your store credit + Madden for free. Also does anyone know where I can find the exclusion list for this. I am thinking of picking up some 10 and 5 dollar games from CC and trading them in for this. FYE should give me 20 bucks or so for the Madden?

That Madden 05 deal is garbage. It's 38 at Target this week and will drop more soon. If someone does this deal, they should be castrated of their wallet and system.

The 2 for $20 credit is garbage as well. Most people have better choices (such as a gamerush or whatnot).. Thanks EB, but no thanks.
 
Well it sounds to me that you get the store credit + madden. I am gonna call them tomorrow to confirm this.

It says three games for a copy of Madden 05, NOT in addition to store credit..

Well in that case ... this deal blows. I already picked it up from Target anyway with a raincheck. EB doesn't really have that many good deals lately.

I actually took advantage of that "Trade in certain select games and receive $10 for each title towards Halo 2" deal thing.. Not my games, either, cousin gave me some games to do it.. I ended up getting one CE for him and prepaid half of another CE for me. It was great. I think that deal is still going on, too.
 
On the trade 2 games and get $20 credit towards preorder ... Do you get the $20 in credit plus the credit for what the two games are worth?
 
I was gonna take advantage of this deal, too. But as a warning to anyone who uses the exclusion list from their website as a guide, I think EB recently updated that list in their computer (but not on the web site). There are so many more games on that exclusion list now. I brought in like 15 games to try to get Madden 2005 and preorder PoP 2, but all of them were POX (excluded). None of these games are on that exclusion list online and several of them I know worked only couple of weeks ago when I traded in for the Halo 2 deal...... :evil:

If anyone from the SE Michigan area finds an EB that would take any game for these trade-in deal despite what it says on the ad, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I took advantage of this deal today.

I traded in Amplitude and Arc the Lad (from the overstock deal) and somehow ended up w/ $30 of credit towards Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory instead of $20. I guess the cashier screwed up. Lucky me.
 
The trade in 3 for Madden 05 is crap. It's good for the store and I guess if you're a big football fan; they get 3 decent games for a game that will drop in value when football season is over.
 
If EB is still retailing Madden at $50 this isn't a bad deal. Just don't open Madden, return it for credit before 14 days passes and get something else. In effect it's trade 3 games get "XXX" for free.

No, you get $20 credit total.
 
Why buy Madden 2005 now when you can purchase Madden 2004 for $3.74 PO? I'm still suprised at how many CAGs purchase this year's Madden at full price when you can wait 10 months and purchase it for a fraction of the price.

Will that actually work? Or will the reciept say something about how it is some special trade in deal? Any confirmation on this, either yay or nay would be great.

Uhm, because 2005 has updated rosters and is better.

I agree with you, but that's the reason.
 
Plus EA takes their servers down yearly...So you can no longer play any previous Maddens online.

Im ESPN all the way anyways. The price difference was enough to make me switch. Madden is still the better game overall, especially offline, but its not 3 times the price better. ESPN online is just a blast and kills anything EA does online.
 
Yes the exclusion list is much much longer in the store versus the website!!! :evil: I tried to make a trade using the POX list online but no go.

I just went to best buy and got it for $33 after GGC.

The buy 2 get 1 EA game free made me decide to try madden 2005.
If I can't play online with this version next year I will probably switch to 2k6.

They let you return the thing for store credit, really?

Can anyone confirm? Seems weird that you'll be able to essentially get $50 bucks credit for 3 crappy pre-owns out of EB.
