hey guys sorry if this is a repost. wanted to post this for a few weeks.
if you trade in 3 games with a tiv over 8$ you get a free preorder.

Hmm, has anyone managed to get a trade 3 for SSBB in Hamilton yet? I've tried 2 (Centre Mall and the Upper James one) and both have said they don't have a price yet, so they can't do it.

I really need to unload these games before the TIVs drop...

EDIT: Even more annoying is that I called the Upper James one beforehand and they said it's possible. I took the bus all the way out there and then they said they don't.
 
you might want to trade the 3 games for a 360/ps3/wii games for now but i suggest you to get a 360 or ps3 games because they all cost 69.99$. After that just change it for SSbb when it will be available and they should give you back 10$. That way you will unload your games now before the tiv drop and will earn 10$ back :D.
 
shit if you posted a lil earlier i could have checked at eastgate, i was just there to get the crimson ds, but i will post that story in a different thread
 
Really, do they allow you to switch the preorder later? Because that bastard at the Upper James one said I couldn't transfer it.

I mean, isn't it obvious it's gonna be $59.99 CDN?

EDIT: Ancaster one said they even have the boxes, I guess the fucker at Upper James who made me go all the way home emptyhanded was wrong.
 
well they're supposed to let you transfer. I dont know why they wouldnt let you do it since it isnt that hard for an employee to switch it. I've just switch 2 of my pre-orders to get a legendary edition of halo3 but i had to add 11.40$ to it :( and it took like 5 seconds.

You can switch between trade 3 games but not others. And getting 10$ back would be lucky as it tells the staff member how you paid.
 
ssbb is 59.99 and theyve had it since the begining of august. pretty much any wii game in the deal is 59.99.

and the only time theyll give you ten bucks back is if they give you the receipt that says you paid 69.99 for something, and when you go to get it its cheaper(example: Bioshock. preorderd it through trade 3: 69.99 value. went to pick it up it dropped to 59.99. they gave me a gift card with ten bucks. they had no limited edtions left, I was told it was 69.99 though. called next day they had but it was 79.99. so in the end I returned the regular for the limited, gave back the 10$ gift card and paid the ten difference.)

also i pre-ordered two worlds, but ended up wanting the limited edition(79.99) look at my bill to find out regular edition is 59.99. didnt want to pay 20$ difference, so i waited to see if I got warkhawk at best buy for 35$. once in hand I went to one ebgames to change my warhawk 69.99 to two worlds limited to pay the diffence 79.99(10$ diff. instead of 20$) then changed my two worlds preorder to ssbb. I did nothing wrong. lol.

Yo! lostdude you in west or east end montreal? Also explain to me why you paid a difference of 11$something? maybe you couldve used my advice sooner?? anyways let me know, cause I changed my 2 preorders for halo legendary, and didnt get charged a thing(maybe you had a preoder at 59.99?).

Sorry i kinda slept on this post people, technically I knew about this since begining of august but as of lately am able to actually use my computer, so... suprised i didnt find anything about it on rfd too a while ago.
Its a great deal. theoretically you could still get some cheap games at places for under or around 10$ making a brand new game for 30$.
 
I traded in Star Fox Assault (GC), Pokemon Diamond (DS) and Pirates on the Caribbean (360) for SSBB yesterday in Ottawa.

It's going to be a surprise Christmas gift for my sons :)
 
Well i used to go at the ebgames at the complex ailes de la mode to do the trades so all my preorders were stucked there but now there's a newly opened ebgames (St-Hubert) at 1 block from my home :D.
Assassin's creed and mass effect are each valued at 69.99$ so it came down to 139.98$ and had to pay the diff + taxes. As for the 10$ cash back, well i had it working since the guys was pretty much cool but he insisted giving it back in cash instead of trade-ins credits.
 
cool, but i traded my halo 3 redular edtion preorder(69.99) and traded another 3 games in for the legendary. you should go back and tell them that if they are doing a trade in 6 for halo legendary, then 2 preorders where you traded 3 games each should suffice.
 
Thanks for the tip Ranzo. I traded Dynasty Warriors (PSP), Kirby Canvas Curse (DS) and Samurai Warriors (PS2) for SSBB at the Ancaster location.
 
Just dont feel like doing a 35 min way just to get that 11$ back. Anyway i'm done with that ebgames after i get my last preorder there.

Funny, my EB let me exchange my trade 3 warhawk for a non trade 3, heavenly sword. It was even the manager who did it.

Don't know if this is unique or what, but the guy at the Brentwood location in Burnaby will let you get *ANY* preorder with 3 games.. I preordered Assassin's Creed 360 and when I go back I plan on getting either Orange Box or Call of Duty 4, haven't decided.

When DDR for 360 came out people were able to pre-order that but they had to pay the difference. Not sure if it will be the same this time but it should be.
