Trading DSi for DS Lite

I have been wanting to go back to some GBA games recently, but I only have a DSi at the moment. I am planning to get a 3DS eventually, so I wanted to get a DS lite in order to be able to play my gba games now and also link it up with the 3DS in the future. My DSi is in excellent working condition aside from a few scratches, so what would be the best route to take? Does gamestop give a decent trade in value, or should I just put it up on ebay? And where should I look for the best price on a DS Lite?

Just trade up your DSi for the 3DS. Lites are pretty cheap.
