CAGiversary!
Hey guys.
I was working on getting my data and whatnot transferred from my X360 FF13 Elite to my new X360 Slim, when I noticed something.
While I was poking around in the Memory menu, I saw the old Elite's HD come up as a separate device under the title of "Transfer Cable". Which made me wonder - does this mean I can actually keep the 250 GB around and just keep it connected to the transfer cable to use as a really ghetto external HD for the X360 Slim?
I'm not planning on keeping connected forever, but maybe just connect it when I have to store something big and disconnect it when I'm done with it. I dunno, just find it rather amusing, and since it's all within the legal confines of the system and the hardware Microsoft forces upon us, I'd figure I can make the most of my dollar by doing it this way.
Does this work, or is this just a red herring? I was gonna save some random stuff on it just to see, but I want to see if anyone else has had success messing around with this thing.
