Transferring PS1 saves from the PS3 to PSP

I just bought a PSP and have put all my PSOne classics onto it from my PS3, but I can't seem to do the same with the games save files. I choose "copy" and asks for the location, course I choose PSP. Now here's where the problem comes in. It asks me to convert before the transfer, if I choose "Yes" it states "No internal memory cards found", if I choose "No" the saves transfer hunky-dorry and can be seen in my PSP under the Game Saves folder... but the games can't find them.

Can someone help? I've been all over Google with no luck.

IIRC, you need to create a memory card on the PSP first, then copy the save from the PS3.

PSone games played on PSP automatically make memory card files. Start the game up on your PSP first then see if the transfer works.

Thanks man, this did it. Crash Bandicoot 1 is quite noticeably harder to play on the PSP. XD
