Just pinging people to see if you guys have seen Batch 3 of Transformers Animated anywhere, specifically Soundwave and the other Dinobot.
I found Oil Slick and Soundwave at Target during the sale they were having on the Animated line. No Jazz or Dinobots besides Grimlock. Also have finally seen the Leader class and Marvel Transformers at TRU.

Picked up the Starscream activator and really like it.
A bit off topic, but I thought I'd let you guys know here instead of starting a new thread...

"Limited Edition" Decepticon watch for $19.99 (regular $55) at Amazon today:
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Decepticons-Limited-Collectors-TRF0001LE/dp/B000TF2S5G

The Autobot one is $28.80 for some reason.
I own both...highly recommended. They come with a shitty band, but swap it out for something else from Fossil for instance and they look spectacular.

Just wanted to report that the wave 1 Voyager figures for the Universe Classic line are showing up at Targets around me. I have seen Heavy Load (cement truck) and Blaster (jet plane/space ship....just like the cybertron Soundwave). Obviously, they're $20 each.

I actually kinda want Blaster, as I'm a fan of the mold, so my no repaints rule is being put to the test. Heavy Load, on the other hand, I have no problem rejecting, as the mold is only decent imho (another Cybertron repaint).

Can't wait for the legit Voyagers: Onslaught and Powerglide.

Also, got my Marvel Crossovers Venom, Spiderman, Ironman, and Hulk in the mail today. Really really like Hulk, and may pick up an extra to try and kitbash (soooo much potential there). Venom's second best, with Ironman and then Spidey bringing up the rear imho. All are pretty good though, and much much better than the Star Wars TFs. I was worried about breaking them though, as many of the joints and snap pegs are VERY tight.

Mighty Muggs first look :whee:

man soon as I get out of collecting transformers I start to see the animated figures and I really want all the dinobots. Since I usually try to get all my transformers in bulk during TRU's buy 2 get 1 free for Geoffrey's birthday sale...are there any sales I am missing out on right now?

AAAAAH

Must have that optimus.

Also, I SAW 2 GRIMLOCKS AT WALMART TODAY! I need 20 bucks :( Couldn't afford to buy one. This sucks.

Are the Mighty Muggs worth anything? I can get my hands on those easy.

Also if you still havent found a Grimlock LinkinPrime, go to a TRU and ask someone if he will check there stock in the back for a box with a ship date of later than 6/30. Thats when we got are shipment in.

Mighty Muggs aren't going for much, I mainly got them because I like them...I'll be opening mine. If you can get your hands on the Blue Cobra Commander figure, get it. I bought mine for $11 and its going for over $100 on eBay right now.
My Target has leaders, 42.99 each. Before tax. No Mighty Muggs :(
yeah, damned price hike on pretty much all Hasbro toys (should be going universal soon, if not already). argh

Yea. I'm not buying and Leaders from Animated after all thanks to that, otherwise I'd have a Megatron and the green tanker looking one today.

So I got Octane...er...Universe Classics "Tankor" earlier this week.

I have to say that despite lots of little problems and the obviousness of this being a triple changer, what with bits of each mode clearly visible in all modes, this is one amazing figure.

I usually try to transform everything before consulting the instructions, and I just could not figure out how to get to truck mode. I was astonished when I saw how the transformation worked. There is so much going on in this toy.

Picked up Leader Megatron and Activators Starscream and am now throughly addicted to the Animated! It's hard to go to Wal Mart and look at all those empty pegs with no Animated toys filling them. I'm dying to finally see Leader Bulkhead and Voyager Grimlock, gotta keep on checking I guess. As for Universe, eh. I'm passing on the entire line except for Ratbat, even then I'll try and buy him individually since I really don't want Springer.

I've seen Leader Bulkhead...its got a different look to him than the Voyager version...seems darker...less cartoony. I prefer the Voyager look.

Leader:

Voyager:

I saw this one once and now I regret not picking him up:

:puke:
I HATE Roll Out Command Optimus Prime. Overpriced pile of crap imho. I hate automorphing figures for the most part anyway (the friggin pt of TF's is they transform, right? So where's the fun if they do it for you), and I saw a couple video reviews and just plane didn't like what I saw. To each his own though.

I bought it. I would like it less if I didn't have a 4 year old son to give it to. He grants me the liberty to buy things that I eventually might not like, and he happily collects plenty of shrapnel!

It's more of a kiddie toy, that's for sure (go figure)...

I like Roll Out Prime. I'm a Prime nut, though, so I'm not really the best one to ask.

Also, I got Universe Nemesis Prime and the movie Iron Man Mighty Mugg from HasbroToyShop.com. It was a long hard fight against their puny slow servers, but I prevailed.

Ordered my Revoltech Starscream, should have it any day now.

My display space is pretty limited so I don't want to clutter it with crap. Only a select few figures/statues.

As much as I prefer the look and features of Voyager Bulkhead I'll be getting the Leader version mainly because It's the best I'll be able to get everything to scale. Although the Decepticon toys screwed that up even more than the Autobots. Oh and I picked up Grimlock, to hell with scale he's too bad ass.

What would be more in scale, the Deluxe Bumblebee or the Activator?

Activator. Tiny as hell, so it works pretty well for scale. Deluxe BB is for some reason pretty tall:

Crap, I just found out a bunch of my transformers fell in the earthquake at my parents house in CA. The problem isn't the transformers but I also had statues on the same shelf and those usually don't take a fall onto hard wood floor.

I'm going to visit them this weekend and check the damage.

That sucks. Good luck.

Picked up Deluxe Ratchet and Prowl, Ratchet would have been awesome if it weren't for the fact that his right leg pops off at the slightest touch. is there any easy way to fix this?

It's a ball joint, right? If it is, clear nail polish is your friend. Apply a light coat of nail polish to the ball, let it dry, and pop the leg back on. If it's still too loose, do it again. The nail polish builds up the joint just enough to make it tighter.

EDIT: On painted ball joints, nail polish (or superglue if you prefer) can sometimes remove the point, so use cautiously!

Thanks, I was having trouble with one of the doors coming off of Prowl. This conversation is going to be awkward however, "Hey honey! I need to borrow some of your nail polish........yeah nail polish, its for my toys!"
:applause::applause::applause:

Saw the Ultra Powerglide and Onslaught at Target last night. The Special Edition Movie Starscream is on clearance, $13.98 at my store.

Anyone use the $5 off purchase of $19.99 Animated toys coupon from McDonalds on Non-Animated ones? I assume it would work on any Transformers purchase.

The price increase on leader class figures seems to only be at Target. I remember they did that for the movie leader class toys at first too....it died off after a while and they went back to $40. In the meantime, check out toysrus.com or amazon.com to get them for $39.99, with free shipping at either site (not sure how long it will last at TRU). Links are below:

Actually, It's a sort of plug and peg thing, It's right under where his "thigh" would be.

Ah, ic. I thought you were talking about the actual hip joint (which iirc, is actually a ratchet joint, yes? I don't have the figure handy at the moment). Hmm, for that, I don't know if nail polish would work.

Here's a good thread from Seibertron about fixing various problems. http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=40744

They also mention something I erroneously forgot: On painted ball joints, nail polish (or in this case, superglue) can sometimes remove the point, so use cautiously!

Thanks dude. The thread specified the exact problem I had and with just a little super glue, Old Man Ratchet's leg is good as new.

I've now got four of the five core Autobote (missing Prime). I decided to go with Leader Bulkhead (weak ankle joints ;-( ) and Activators Bumblebee for scale.

any time. I've got a leader Bulky and Activators BB on order from HBTS.com, but they are taking their sweet time getting them to me. I've already bought pretty much all the other figs (haven't seen a single leader yet sadly) and am just going to return them when my hbts order comes in. I can't resist, they're that good imho. Also, I actually highly recommend all 3 primes, as each is good in its own way (Voyager, Deluxe, and 2-pack Prime)

I promised myself that I wouldn't be as impulsive this time around so I can avoid all the mistakes I made with the Movie line (Dlx Brawl, Payload, Bumblee, etc). Once I get the core Autobots rounded up everything will be made on a case by case basis. I'll probably pick up the Snarl and Swoop along with Ultra Magnus. The only other Decepticon toy that really interests me is Blitzwing.

Poor Lugnuit, I love the design and the character but his toy is just too damn small to be worth picking up.

I think you'll end up a lot happier in the end if you don't let size or scale make your decisions for you. Hasbro is just too inconsistent. Lugnut is a nice figure aside from his size.

Some pics of my Starscream & Megatron Revoltech and Hard Hero busts, enjoy:

True, It might be a late pickup but I can see Lugnut belonging in my collecting someday. Right now I'm just holding my breath for Voyager Prime and Blitzwing to appear.
Nice pics...those Revoltechs are awesome!
Yea, I picked up the Megatron Revoltech this weekend at animejungle's (www.animejungle.net I believe) retail store in Los Angeles. I must say the retail location kicked MASSIVE ass, lots of PVC statues, lots of Revoltechs. I'm gonna see if I can't find any other Transformer Revoltechs at GenCon Indy next week, or the Asuka/Rei Eva ones. Thing doesn't seem that tall, but its insanely fun. People at the store tossed in 2 packs of spare joints, a set of plyers for it and a pen. Overall - Bitchin.
