True fact: CAG's love drama. I swear there is a secret cache of pitchforks and torches for every thread title that comes up with "scam". This one looks like it needs a LOT more facts determined.
yep, we've been here long enough and anytime there is a victim thread. Most CAGs jump the gun on the judgement. Its the reason why mods like Shrike exist. to deal and help find a solution to these situations.

the one thing i would love to recommend, is a list of traders to avoid and traders you can trust as Dv8mad is implying in that blog. You guys should read it. he has a great point about the good traders never getting discussed and only the bad traders getting discussed.

i dont trade here often as i am a collector so the stuff that would be any value in trade...i dont want to get rid of. but it never stops me from buying from a sell list in which case i am only dealing with CAGs that frequent this site alot and of course have a great reputation.

Eh Stewie, no offense, but this is the problem i look at

You had your GIRLFRIEND deal with the stuff.

When we TRADE games on here, we want the ACTUALLY person trading us the stuff to be THAT indivual we made that deal with, not some stranger.

Thats where you fucked up. and id personal dump your girlfriend, because for all you know, she MAY have sold those games and made a profit of her OWN.

Yeah thats right i said it, women are pretty evil and WILL do things like that.

Anyone else agree with my thoughts?

people need to just be educated when it comes to trading here period. know the warning signs of a possible scammer and if youre not sure about something ask. i dont care how bad you want a game if the deal sounds too good to be true dont do it. one thing ive gotten a few times here were people with lower feedback saying they wont send first in the trade but you can check my ebay feedback its perfect. to me thats a definite red flag.

ebay feedback doesn't mean anything on forums. That needs to put on trading guidelines.

You can't even leave bad feedback when selling for buyers on ebay. If something does go wrong, paypal is there enforcing the sale (btw, paypal sucks +1 - http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=217039 ).

Ebay is totally irrelevalant to forum transactions.

I've had several successful CAG transactions. Recently I had one trade where I felt like I was going to get scammed but it turned out OK in the end. I posted a blog about it but before starting a smear campaign I gave him the benefit of the doubt and the chance to fix the situation. Everything worked out in the end. I think I've had roughly 13 successful game trades, 3 successful Club Nintendo code trades, and a Bluray purchase currently in progress.

stewie75 is not a scammer. really. i mean, the man has offered to assist or even reimburse other users who have been scammed in the past. someone tell me why this thread is being kept alive?

Attention everyone... Testicles... That is all

I don't know about anyone else, but the part on the first post about "Plus, this seems real odd to have all these issues on an initial trade." -- Well, I got scammed on my first trade over at TradeGamesNow. I got scammed out of two PS3 games. To say that it seems odd on an initial trade doesn't hold water for me.

Now, as for the rest, was there supposed to be Delivery Confirmation on the send? If so, I see your point, but if not..? Also, what does the other guy have to gain from this situation? He was sending first if I am right? Why go through the trouble of agreeing to a trade, then not sending just to give someone negative feedback?

I'm not saying Stewie scammed guy. I just find it funny that it was tossed aside so easily just because he has a lot of trades. The guy that scammed me over at TGN had 20 trades.

Anyway, just my opinion on the matter.

I can only speak for myself, though I hold onto the DC # until the USPS shows that it arrived, and that I have confirmation from the other party about the game arriving in OK condition. Unless I have that, I hold onto the DC # form, or the printout from the DC # when something shipped online.

I've asked him to produce it more than once and he can't. Without that proof of the DC # or the receipt showing shipment of the item with the DC #, there's no way to prove it, save his word that he shipped it.

I agree. I hold onto my DC# as well. I also get DC on trades that we do not agree to (I insist on it if I am sending first). I didn't read that the sender sent with DC.

Thanks.

All transactions done online should be with Delivery confirmation. ESPECIALLY CAG. It should be a rule, if it is not already.
stewiw75 of all people...

I guess when people rack up reputation on trading/selling/buying, they figure they'll stop doing it -- why not scam some people along the way? It's the way to do it! Never ever trust any CAGs with good feedback, not even me. This business: risky.
I thought you were one of the few traders I could trust, now you tell me you're Donovan from Last Crusade?

wouldnt he have a copy of it in his messages folder? im assuming he sent the dc to the guy the day he shipped it out.i know i always do.

Just received a PM from the OP, who received his package back from sending it to stewie75. The package was returned, due to an address issue on the package, being sent to an address that was no longer valid.

I've seen pictures of the package showing the "return to sender" stickers on the package, as well as the DC # that was on the package.

As the OP has their package back to them, and stewie75 doesn't have it, I consider this matter resolved.
