Back when I was in college, in a Sensation and Perception class I had a teacher show us one of these. Here's a link to it, just click on aftereffect. It's an excutable file so that way you could use if more effeiciently, or effectively, depending on who you are.

You can see the circle if you "casually" look at it, instead of concentrating on it or the center, or whatever.
