Tritton or Sharkoon? Please help with gaming headset.

Hi fellow CAGers I'm debating rather to get the TRITTON AX 720 or the SHARKOON Xtatic 5.1 The price between these two are fairly close to each other... So my question is which one would you guys pick and why? What I'm looking for is a headset that will works with PC,PS3 and Xbox 360.I've had a plantronic headset for my PC for over a year and its starting to act up and my xbox360's headsets been busted since months ago. I'm currently using a hanger wire taped over to the side to keep it going. And frankly im tired of keep on buying headset on each system so i came to the conclusion to pick 1 headset that will do all and hopefully it will last for years. Thanks in advance.

I have a set of Tritton ax180 universal headset and love them. But beware, no matter which headset you get be careful as the connection that goes to the controller for the mic (the puck) might mess up on you sooner or later. I have a few problems with mine here and there but messing with it a little it gets fixed quickly. I'd say get the Tritton's!
 
Have you looked at the turtlebeaches? lot cheaper and supposedly lighter and more comfortable. I've got their last gen X2's for my 360 and love them.
Whatever you decide, go Wireless. the cords are a pain.

I thought turtlebeaches are for xbox only or am i wrong?
 
Umm you can use the audio for PS3 but not he headset part. I would recommend the Trittons personally, I have the Turtle Beach X3's and they are good but you cannot use them with your computer or ipod. I have a friend I play with online who loves the Trittons, says the audio is great.
 
don't get turtle beach headsets. I went through 3 pairs in less than 5 months. get the ax180 or another set of Tritton's headset. Mine are universal and work with ps3, 360, pc, wii and I think ipod too. Tritton feel more comfortable, look better, are of better quality and overall the best to purchase for ya money I say.
 
Tritton but customer service is horrible....

takes too long and they beat around the bush when you email them with problems. Took over 2 months for them to fix the microphone in my pair of Trittons, that was after sending me new cables for every part of the headset.

They are a great headset though.
 
I don't know about spending $129.99 on a headset because honestly I doubt they'll last. Any headset like turtle beach, tritton or other brand will mess up on you because of the puck/connection that goes to the bottom of the controller. It's an issue that no one has fixed but at least you have warranty. I'd recommend these:

Think best buy might have them a little cheaper and they do the job just fine for me.
