Tron 2.0 (Xbox) - now $19.99 at EB

Cool. I was going to get it at $39.99, but I guess I'll pick it up now. Or should I wait for Best Buy to drop to $19.99 and use the GCC.? Decisions, decisions. . .

Hmmm.. I was going to trade in ATV Off Road Fury 3 which i got for free because of the memory card fiasco for Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes. Now, I think I'm going to get Tron 2.0 and Max Payne 2 for it.

Anyone know if this is a port of the PC version, or an all-new game? I really enjoyed the PC game, but then no need to own it twice.

port, but the multi-player is improved over the pc version. hear the game is buggy as hell. Light cycle races online/mode where you switch between regular fps/light cycle.

Sweet. Waiting to see if this is universal since we have 12+ copies at my workplace. I heard it's system link and splitt screen.
Didn't the Xbox version just come out?
It came out November 3rd. So about a month and a half ago.

Releasing it at the same time as Halo 2 obviously did wonders for its sales...I will pick it up now though, hopefully it will be another fun overlooked game like Second Sight
Man...I never even knew a Xbox port was going to be made, and here it is for $20!

Tempted...oh so tempted...
And it's on XBox Live, to boot.

*watches Alien Spider run off to EB*

lol, I don't have Live, but it's certainly a nice addition if I ever do get it. :D

It looks like it's about $40-$50 everywhere else. Oh man...it's damn tempting, I love FPSs...

EDIT\ Temptation got the better of me, I ordered it. ^_^
Yay!Another game I wont have time to play!

hits submit button on order...
Yay! someone I wont have time to play with :(

This is another good example that the only way games can make it this season is if they have a lot of hype or they are exceptionally good games. Little more emphasis on the hype though.

This game's graphics looks confusing to tell what is going on? Is this really an issue during gameplay.

Wow... is this a faster price drop than Second Sight?

Speaking of huge price drops -- I wonder why I keep seeing Beyond Good & Evil popping up in stores like BestBuy -- besides the fact that I am sure they have backstock for months -- I am wondering if another company picked up the backstock and is hawking it as a budget title...
Tron looks like a seizure in a box
Which is why I had to buy it. The graphics look very intresting. (Plus it has XBL 3.0 features)
Well if you think this is really competing with Halo 2, I had a tough decision on what game to pick up November 9th. Hmmm... Halo 2 or Spyro A Heroes Tale?
=O. How could you decide between both????!

lol, same here! Plus it's a FPS, and I can't seem to get enough of those. :)

Sheesh... barely out a month and already heading towards the discount bin. Looks like the "Tron" movie sequal is going exactly where the feature length "Dragon's Lair" animated cartoon went....

... in the trash. :(

picked it up at gamestop for 20 and it's quite good....well the single player is, the multiplayer would be great if there were more people on Live. If your a fan of the movie you definately need to pick it up.

I picked it up at Game Crazy for $20 as well. I almost had to beat the two employees to a pulp to get it, but they just transferred a couple copies from another store who I'm guessing didn't know about the price drop. On top of this game having essentially no marketing, most of the stores around here got 1 copy for their stock if they got any at all.

I picked it up yesterday, and let me tell you, the price drop was needed.

Tron 2.0 starts off slower than any other Xbox Game I can think of. You follow an avatar, doing mindless stuff, (fancy grad the red key to open the red dorr, so you can grab the blue key to open THAT door) occasionally intrupted by loading screens.

The Light cycles never quite give you the camera angle you need to see arounhd you.

I recommend staying away from this one.

Well I'm getting it for Live and System Link and Splitt Screen, how are those? Are there bots?

Same for when I ordered Jedi Knight for $19.99 off ebgames.com. I'm not touching the single player, it's purely multiplayer experience.
i'm really interested. why has it dropped so fast? just bad sales?
Yeah. They released it at the busiest time of year for videogames, the Xmas holidays. Everybody's buying Halo 2, GTA SA, MGS3 and all the other big name titles, so lesser games are going to get squeezed out.

Once you get past the tutorial, it picks up pretty quickly. On the lightcycles, I got the camera at a pretty good angle and locked it down. Didn't have to mess with it again. With all that said, what will ultimately decide if you like the game is if you really like Tron. If you couldn't care less, it's pretty much just your average FPS with neon.
