Okay I just received TRU's annual Big Book and it has coupons of the following.

NOTE: These are bonus coupons that are only sent out to people through the mail.

20% off a single item (no diapers, baby formula, game hardware), this coupon is different than the 20% off any one clothing or shoe item. This particular one is a little card glue to the coupon sheet.

OR

$10 of a $100 purchase

Note: This coupon can be found in ALL Big Books

A FREE $10 GC with a purchase of $75 or more (NOTE: Giftcard must be redeemed BEFORE Jan. 1st 2008)

Usual exclusions apply (no game hardware) and you can't stack the coupons (YMMV: You may be able to stack them if you get someone who is willing to do so). And they are NOT VALID ONLINE, the coupons are strictly B&M. I don't have scans or anything but I figure this could be useful for a lot of the games coming out in the next two months.

Also, if your address is in their system then you will receive the book probably within the next few days.

The coupons are valid from 10/28 - 12/24.

Scan? where do you get them? Instore?
In the mail, but you can get them in store on the 28th.
hmmm okay thanks.

Do these come in the mail like the ordinary Sunday ads? What is the expiration on these coupons?

I remember getting these, but I didn't think they came until late November/early December at the earliest.

No, they have been coming near the last week of October.

And they send them to your house if you are in their system.

Also these coupons are not valid online.

Alright, thanks. If I don't get one I assume they'll have them all over the store.

Yup they should, which means I'm sure you can end up with multiple coupons.

This will be good for those of us who missed out on the B2G1 sale due to a lack of stock or a lack of a 2nd or 3rd game. It's not quite as good but it's better than nothing.

The 20% off coupon is only going to people who get it in the mail on the mailing list. The in store flyer does not have the coupon. FYI

Called up my Toys R Us. They don't have any Big Books in stores yet. Hopefully they'll have them by Sunday so I can get Guitar Hero 3, but otherwise... please, someone post some high quality scans of that 20% coupon.

how bout on pre-orders? cuz then i can go to tru on sunday and buy gh3 and rock band and get 20% off.

Being able to use mutliples of this coupon would rock, but at the very least GH3 for $80 is insanely tempting (was gonna hold off due to other games in the backlog).

I don't have the coupons, so I can't know for sure, but I'd imagine it wouldn't work with pre-orders.
wait so is it confirmed that these coupons wont be at stores?
Honestly, it would make absolutely no sense for them to give out the 20% off coupons in the store big book.
Looks like this is how I'm going to get my Rock Band for PS3. 20% off, then turn around and use the $10 off on GHIII Wii.
does that mean you got one in your email? or are you gonna wait for someone else to scan and post theirs?

Remember, you can't stack the coupons.

So you'll have to get the $10 GC in a seperate transaction.

Big Book is TRU's annual flyer that goes from the end of Oct thru Xmas Eve. If they have your address, then you will get one mailed to you. If you don't, they will be IN STORES on Sunday, as well as in the Sunday Papers that get all the weekly advertisements.

I have not seen the coupon yet, but I would assume that it doesnt work online.

I stated in the OP that is does NOT work online.

And it also states that they only accept the original coupon.

Yeah, the past several books they've done (toy, baby, etc.) didn't have coupons in the in-store versions. Only the mailers had coupons. I'd assume this is going to be no different.

Hopefully registering on their website will afford me some coupons. When did they get your address and such? I'd go buy some twizzlers if I thought they'd ask me for my address.
How do I sign up to get my address on the mailing list for the Big Toy Book?
They used to ask for your phone number during checkout to get your address. I haven't really shopped at TRU in a good 5 years, so not sure if that's how they still do it.

Bookmarking this. Hopefully Ill see some scans in here by Friday.Saturday at teh latest. I could reallly really use those coupons.

Guitar hero 3 $100
Rock Band $200
Scene It $60
Mass Effect $60
WWE Smackdown Vs. RAW 2008 $60

About $500 with taxes - 20%

I'd basically be getting Guitar Hero 3 for free.

Of course comes the factor of if my local TRU will get all those games....and on release date for that matter.

I've seen a bunch of Big Books locked up in my TRU office.

Transactions still call for the cashier to ask for a customers phone number. I usually just make one up though...

just to reconfirm the confirmation. the in store big books will have NO coupons.
The 20% coupons are only in the direct mail versions of the ad and the $10 gift card coupons are only in the mail and newspaper versions.

Too bad the 20% off is only good on a single item.

Hmm...$48 Mass Effect. As far as I'm concerned, $50 is full price, but Mass Effect is one of the few games I'd actually pay full price for.
Rock Band $200
Rock Band is only $170 for the bundle. So if you were to get it with the 20% coupon, you'd be getting it for about $135.

Anybody with children may want to enroll your child in the TRU birthday club to ensure that you will get this book if it is not too late. Somehow our little girl got enroll twice and TRU sent out double coupons during her recent birthday. Because we slready had her birthday gifts bought, my wife used the coupons ($5 off of $25) with the B2G1 free game offer. Looks like another good haul for me at Christmas!

I enrolled for my 5 year old nephew for his bday and NEVER GOT A DAMN THING sent to my address that I put down during sign up. A few weeks ago I was approached by this one chick and asked if I wanted to sign up for it and I told her I did months ago and my nephew NEVER got anything in the mail...she quickly turned around and walked away really fast. :)
