Happy Hunting

Its been a while; maybe she's moved on. Her name was Nham. I visted her regularly (once a week) at the peak of my game addiction.

Back when the grocery srore next door used to be Lucky's. Allright, not that long ago.

There is one in alhambra? hmm... all I remember is the one in rosemead I think. The one that was off the 10 till it closed and became a Levitz I think.

I just got these about an hour ago ranging from 5-10 bucks don't remember the exact.

Xenosaga
Arc the Lad: ToS
RE:CV
Maximo: Army or Zin or something (the second Maximo)
Wild Arms 3

Saw a few others that are just as low, but they're either not interesting to me or I already have them.

It's across the street from Costco on the other end of the block, at the corner of Commonwealth and Fremont.

The Rosemead one closed down years ago. I heard ghost stories about that one - some kid died while shopping there, and ever since then the graveyard shift staff have been hearing strange noises and noticed things getting shuffled around. They even caught it on surveillance tape - store inventory would move around as if picked up by invisible person. That kid's ghost must be pissed that all the toys are gone now.

Lol, wtf

Now I want to see this place myself

I scanned my TRU today, and indeed, they pulled some random stuff that was collecting dust in the back. The Jungle Book for Game Gear was about $1.50...
Yeah, I read about the ghost thing in the school newspaper a long time ago.
One of the guys that used to work at the Rosemead store told me they showed the surveillance footage on the news, did anyone remember seeing it on TV?

Is that the one with the infamous ghost photo? I remember seeing an episode of That's Incredible! years ago and they did a segment on a haunted Toys 'R Us in California. The producers got some "medium" who claimed to be able to communicate with the dead and along with a small group of people, placed them in the store at night with the lights out. During the segment, the medium claimed to see "the spirit" walking down the aisle toward them. Nothing was seen on video, but a still photograph taken at the same time revealed the shadow of a man in the aisle. I was just a kid at that time and it spooked me beyond belief!

Correction: Sorry, just did a little research online and found out that the Toys 'R Us was in Sunnyvale, CA. Here's a link to view the ghost photo:

Does anybody have any Castlevania AOS left at their local TRU? The ones around me are all sold out. How much are they selling for? And I am willing to trade or buy if anybody has any left. I need 2. Thanks.

I remember seeing that on one of those ghost story shows. I thought the ghosts had to do with it being a field where workers worked or something.

You must be talking about the Sunnyvale, CA TRU - the one where I live that I visit for stuff like the $10 off coupon deal. Yeah, it's haunted and I sometimes visit it at night (near store closing time), and yeah...don't ask me any horror stories. I woudn't recommend going into the bathrooms at this TRU, either.

at the TRU i went to on Blossom Hill in San Jose they had:

Xbox:
Drake - 5.48
Turok: Evolution - 1.98
Maximum Chase - 6.98
Bloodrayne - [ i believe it was $5 ]

Picked up a few things:

Primal $4.49
Devil May Cry $7.98

Looked at the green tag table...not much of anything, just a lot of Mojos, a couple of Sega Sports titles (College Football and Tennis 2K2 for PS2), Eternal Darkness was $11.98, some random DC games (all sports)

BTW This location is in Clovis CA
Wasn't the ghost a kid that tried to get a ball, but got ran over by a train?
The Rosemead one? It's been several years but from what I remember, a ball was involved, but I am not sure about the train. There are no railroad tracks there other than the metro rail in the middle of the 10 freeway, which was built afterwards I think.

My TRU in long beach, CA had Castlevania PS2 in stock. It was for $11.98, Arc the Lad for $8.98. Im planning dropping by TRU at cerritos to see if they got any PSone LCD screen.

0My TRU had the Intec XBOX monitor but it rang up $180.Odd since when the green tag started they were $90.Thats all I really wanted. They did have a bunch of the PSOne screens though and one combo left.
Crap......I paid 14$ for Siren a week ago.
The prices not only change week-to-week but day-to-day :)

*sigh* I have been going there a lot lately. I think the employees think I am weird or something because I keep on getting games and scanning them.

None of my local TRU stores actually have scanners in the R Zone, which really blows. I have to take individual games up to the register clerk for a price check, and most of the time there's a line with a several minute wait.

Some I remember from tonight:

Dave Mirra 2: $2.99 after 70% off
Beyond Good and Evil: $3.98
Green tagged Dreamcast and N64 games (perfect dark)
Castlevania for PS2: $10 -- is that good or something?
Resident Evil CV: $5.98
Red Faction: $5.98
Devil May Cry: $7.98
Arc the Lad: $8.98
Bloodrayne XBOX: $3.98
Bloodrayne PS2: $5.98
Backyard Wrestling PS2: $6.98

And more. I love this Toys R Us. Some prices may be off a couple bucks, but whatever.

yesterday I got

R: Racing Evolution (ps2) 4.48
Devil may cry (ps2) 6.98

Oh is Rtype final supposed to be a green tag game? because its 14.98 at my TRU and im thinking of picking it up.

R-Type Final is not a green tag. Does anyone know if R:Racing for GCN is green tag still.

R:Racing should still be green tag, i don't know why they would remove it from green tag though

i got mine about 2 weeks ago for 4.89 after tax in NYC

yeah R racing for game cube is still green tagged picked it up last weekend for about $4.50
Castlevania for PS2: $10 -- is that good or something?
Well, at my haunted TRU it's $3.98 after 70% off, if it means anything. The game itself feels like DMC to me.
Oh is Rtype final supposed to be a green tag game? because its 14.98 at my TRU and im thinking of picking it up.
It's not a green-tag game, but it is priced at $15 at all TRUs; I don't think anyone's gotten it for lower than that outside of an extra discount (i.e. the $10 off coupon).

R:Racing is a bad game, not even worth it at $5. On the other hand, you are adding a game to your collection for only $5...

At my TRU, I noticed some games were restocked after being OOS.

Beyond Good and Evil: $4.98 RESTOCKED
Castlevania for PS2: $11.98 RESTOCKED
Resident Evil CV: $7.98 possibly RESTOCKED
Red Faction: $10.98
Devil May Cry: $7.98 RESTOCKED
Arc the Lad: $11.98 RESTOCKED

Siren $17.98 (shaq-fu'in drop already!)
Fatal Frame 2 $19.98
La Pucelle $23.98
Bomberman Generations $12.98

DEMOS:
Metal Gear Solid 3 $9.98
Some DDR one $9.98
Halo DVD $4.98 (Brute Force give away)
Prince of Persia $9.98
Jak II .98 cents! (not jam pack)
Ratchet & Clank 2 GC .98 cents! (not Jam Pack)
(they all say not for resale on package)

And no ghosts!

Cerritos should have the LCD screens but I think they are priced at $44.98, and a possible $6 surcharge on top of that. If you have the time you could head to Santa Ana, they had 1 left for $28.98 plus $6 surcharge.

I have an extra one from the Santa Ana store I got for $28.98, prior to the $6 surcharge and I would sell it to you at cost, which I think is $31.37, PM if interested. I'm also in Long Beach.

Found the following at a TRU store far-west of Chicago. (St. Charles)

*EDIT: All titles PS2
Arc The Lad: Twilights $7.98
BloodRayne $5.98
Fatal Frame II $12.98

RE: Code Veronica (GH) $3.48

Intec 8MB Memory Expansion Adapter $3.48 (20+ left)
Intec 16MB Memory Expansion Adapter $5.48 (1 left)

PSOne LCD $23.98 (2 left)

GBA Sword of Mana $8.98 (3 Left)

Shelf price for La Pucell was $7.98 but they were all gone. Will be checking a couple of other stores soon for this one.

There were multiples of all above if anyone is interested.

Here in Woodbridge and East Brunswick NJ, La Pucelle still scans fro $24.98 as of 3-4 days ago.
Hey, did you happen to notice if Siren was at either of these locations? I'm close to both of them and prolly going to make a trip up there today if it's there
Siren are at both places. I think the one in Woodbridge is cheaper

R racing its worth 4.88 its good for a few hours. Its a decent game, not great, not terrible.

most games are worth 4.88

well except the most recent turok :)
Just picked up sphinx, XIII, and Beyond Good and Evil at the Gaithersburg TRU for $6 a piece. Thx CAG!!
Hey that's in my neck of the woods. I guess that I missed those games. I'lll have to go back.

I've found that TRU has been pretty good with tagging the games correctly and keeping them somewhat up to date. Agree or disagree?

Yes and no for me. A lot more games seem to be green tagged and red tagged but I still found games that I would have not known about had it not been for CAG. Like R Racing Evolution has no indiciation of being $4.48 at any of the 3 TRU stores I have been to. Midway Arcade Treasures 1 was also tagged $19.99 and I would have never known it was greentagged if it wasn't for the posts here. MGS 2 Substance didn't have any tag on it at all.
