At TRU, if you purchase a DDR game for PS2 or XBOX and an Intec Ultimate Dance Pad together, you get half off both of them.

I purchased this bundle twice, once with PS2 DDR Extreme 2 ($39.99 -> $19.99) and once with PS2 DDR Max 2 ($29.99 -> $14.99). I also bought one regular Ultimate Dance Pad ($39.99 -> $20.00) and one wireless ($49.99 -> $25.00).

As far as I know, this started today. I walked into the R-Zone and overheard the clerks talking about it, since they hadn't heard of it before and were trying to figure out how it worked. I was their first guinea pig, er, customer :D

I can confirm this for Sawmill Rd. in Columbus/Dublin OH.

Went Saturday and asked about it. The three ladies working in the games dept. had never heard of it and thought I was crazy. Finally one of them scanned the game and the pad and said, "he's right!" obviously suprised.

So DDRMax2 for $29.99 + Intec basic pad for $19.99, half off each = $24.99 plus tax total.

Thanks to the OP!

seems to be an unadvertised sale at TRU. told a customer about it, and she was pretty happy about the deal :)

might have to finally pick up DDR Max 2 with the ultimate dance mat sometime. do you remember how long the sale lasts until?

I picked up DDR MAX 2 and Intec basic dance mat for $26.47 after tax.

I need some opinions - my kids at 7 & 10 - we don't have a dance mat or game...

Will the mats work on wall-to-wall carpeting?

I picked up the MAX2 and basic pad because that was the cheapest bundle. Is MAX 2 a good game for a beginner? and will the basic pads hold up to occasional use by kids? Or is it worth buying the Ultimate mat (for $20 instead of $10)?

Max 2 is great. It has a excellent songlist (for a US game) and does have beginners mode. The pad will probably last a few months, but once they get better at the game, it probably won't be that great since it will slide around when playing more difficult songs.

Let me add that I've now used the regular Konami pads and the Intec ultimate pads on carpet. The Konami pad slips. I don't think I ever fell, but it was annoying. The Intec doesn't move at all. I'm very happy with it, and think it is easily worth the extra $10.
