...celebrities? Who needs 'em?

You mean I can go on this site and talk smack to celebrities while kicking their ass in games they probably don't put as much time into as us. To bad I don't play online because I would enjoy this tremendously.

I think it would be fun to play Madden against Peyton Manning or race against Dale Jr. I would also like to play some band in Halo and whip their ass. They are always featured as gamers on TV.

Well, that sucks that you will have to pay a monthly fee after your first 12 months are up but what price can you put on beating the crap out of celebrities in an video game environment.

Rumor has it they've only signed the members of Styx to play online thus far. I may think that celebrities aren't anything worth writing home about, and you might. I won't argue that. I would be hesitant to join if they aren't naming any names, though.

The funny thing is that you probably can do it right now it just that with this site you will know exactly which celebrities you are playing. If you have Xbox Live then you probably could play against Peyton and if you play any of the NASCAR games online you have probably run a race or two with Dale Jr. You just didn't know it at the time.
What is it?

(seriously, I looked over that site and all I could grab was "celebrities.")
Hasn't launched yet notice the "Coming soon" banner on the site. It is essentially an online network that will give it's memebrs the opportunityt o game against celebrities. I know Korn, Linkin Park, and several hundred pro athletes, bands, etc. are in negotiations to be on as featured celebs. The celebs will have biop ages on the site discussing their favorite games and also there will be streaming video of them playing against Roster members. The first events are being scheduled right now.

That is the beauty you will know exactly who you are playing. And you will know exactly if you are whipping Dale Jr.'s ass at some racing game. Or if he is whippping your ass you can take solice in knowing that it wasa Nascar pro that beat you. I like the idea of matching strategy against pro athletes or whipping some celeb in a network. Those gamers that are really good will become celebs in their own right on the network.

Just hearing the name Styx is funny. Actually Martin Truex Jr. (2004 Busch Series champ, protege to Dale Earnhardt Jr., PC gamer) is on board, Quentin Richardson (2005 3 point shootout champ), Phoenix Suns, and Aaron Brooks, QB New Orleans Saints all on board. More to be announced soon.
