Well, now's as good a time as any for this I suppose...
My fiance was 7 months pregnant. We had told co-workers and close friends obviously, but I hadn't brought it up before I was sure everything was going to be OK with him and what not. We've had A LOT of trips to the hospital over the last 2 months without the doctors figuring out what was going on.
My fiance was told to come in again yesterday after work when she called with the same symptoms as the last few times. What usually happens is they check her out, do an ultrasound and send us home. I got there at 6 PM when I got out of work, and at 10 PM after the ultrasound and everything they said we could leave. After she put on her clothes, her water broke. In the hospital.
Long story short, I ended up sleeping in a waiting room chair for about 3 hours last night until they could move us into a delivery room at 4 AM. They decided this morning they would have to induce her, because the baby was developed enough, and the risk was significant to her not to.
My son, Owen, was born this afternoon. It was a very long labor, and he's small (5 lbs, 14 oz). He's fine, he didn't end up in the NICU, so he seems to be fine, they're keeping an eye on him in the nursery at the moment though.
I just wanted to let you guys know. There's some wireless here in the hospital in her room, and I'm going to be here for XMas and part of Friday (I have to work too

). But I just wanted to let all my good friends here in the OTT know
Happy Holidays if I don't get a chance to stop by tommorow!
