I own 279 games myself, they are stored in random boxes throughout the basement, and in my closet. I play very few, and hell, I never even played a couple of them yet..from late 2004.
He doesn't.
I try to. I'll be playing them a lot more often shortly (when I move).
Impressive ... most impressive .

Where did you get those shelves ?

Are you from MI?
Bought them at Home Depot. The shelves are I think $9.99 a piece and the supports (can't think of the word right now, I'm tired) cost I think around the same for two. So all in all, I spent a lot on shelves too. I have 28 shelves. And no, I'm not from MI. Where'd that come from?

Quick Note: I actually trimmed my collection by about 60 games less recently. I needed to make room so I got rid of all of the crap games that I more than likely won't get around to playing ever. I figured that I have way too many good games that won't get played, so why keep the crap games? These games are for the most part games that can easily be forgotten. To name a few: Bad Boys, Madden 03, Madden 04, McFarlane's Evil Prophecy, Celebrity Deathmatch, Strike Force Bwling, Barbie Horse Adventures, etc. Don't get me wrong, I hate getting rid of any game in my collection, but I had to. The plus side is that my collection is growing more quality over-all and my IGN score went up from 7.4 to 7.5. I'll have to sift through my gba games and get rid of some of the stinkers from there as well (example being ET).

Even though, I trimmed 60 or so games, it's been nearly a year since I've updated this thread...so I'm sure I still have more games than I did. When I move, I'll post more pics.

Thanks for all of the compliments and the "you a crazy mofo"s.

Have fun moving all your games. I personally never want to move it will be such a god awful hassle moving all my games and *attempting* to keep them in chronological order of the course of the move when I eventually move. I'm very anal about my games and while most people use alphabetical order I actually use chronological order (oldest to newest)

I no longer have any DVD spaces. 8 DVD racks full of movies in the other room, and 7 full of games in my gameroom. I've resorted to stacking games on the floor vertically. I have one stack that is about a foot taller than me now (i'm 5'11)

So yeah it's going to be a nightmare moving all your games to your new place, it'd be a nightmare for anyone that owns more than 300 fairly recent games.

I actually look forward to moving my collection. I can't wait to see what I kind of set-up I come up with and how good it's going to luck. In the pic's everything looks nice & neat, but I've had to work with limited space. Right now everything is kinda the way it was, only there are stacks and stacks of games on the ledges of the shelves waiting for room or the move. Needless to say, it's pretty ugly and cramped up looking, hence why I haven't taken any more recent pictures.

But yeah, the one bad thing that I see out of moving my collection is the possibility of damaging anything. It seems like whenever I'm moving the games/dvds around, stack by stack...one stack always ends up falling on the floor with maybe a disc popping out. :bomb:

is your game room in a basement? i see a bunch of water pipes. do you pray everynight that a leak won't spring from that galvanized piping?

So are you getting your own place now or is your whole family moving ? Either way is exciting. I look forward to getting a bigger house with a dedicated entertainment/movie/game room someday.
And no, I'm not from MI. Where'd that come from?
