So I loved Freedom Fighters, a game in which the Soviets marched into NYC.. here's a game that's along similar lines.

This game assumes that the Nazis eventually took over Europe and have now launched a suprise attack on NYC via ground troops and air ships.

If that image doesn't get you hyped to kick some Nazi ass, I don't know what will. I can't wait for this game to come out.

I have been looking forward to this game for a while...

I just downloaded and played it...

The premise is kick ass, but the game is mediocre at best. I was hoping this game wasn't going to disappoint, but it definitely does.

NOOOO!!!!!!! please dont tell me this. its gunna be good!

I found the demo of this game to be pretty craptacular. I know it's just a demo...but if this is any indication of what the final game will be like...I'll pass.

Slow movements and poor graphics.

+1

hopefully the full release will be more "done"

I am a fan of the Xbox game Freedom Fighters. I played the demo to Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. Holy balls it sucked. I want a sequel to Freedom Fighters ;_;

I'm lost.. this isn't made by the same people who made Freedom Fighters is it? A quick wiki search tells me no, is the FF comparison only to the storyline/premise of this game?

Yes it's only similar in premise, I'm really not sure why he brought it up. This game is developed by the same people that made Call of Duty: Finest Hour.

You know you're in trouble when you start playing a demo and immediately -- within seconds -- you can figure out if a game sucks.

Sadly this one has the feeler of a clunker all over it. Doesn't control right, doesn't feel right...like starting up the demo for HOUR OF VICTORY it doesn't take long for you to realize it's not worth $60. or $50. Or even $20.

In fact I'd say it's comparable to HOUR OF VICTORY for downright crapiness. And it's a shame, the idea was interesting. The execution, though, is just horrid if the demo is a good indicator of what's to come.

COD4 is going to kinda kill every FPS game in the next two to three years. I tried the demo.. i'm really sad to say that it was disappointing.

Though can you imagine what this game would be like if Infinity Ward got ahold of it!?

Regarding the FF remark..

#1 - I made the remark because in both games, the enemy invades our soil and takes over.

#2 - In both games, you play an "average joe" and go on to fight the war. And since i'm assuming they wouldn't make a game with an unhappy ending, in both, the average joe rises above the entire enemy army in the end.

I found the demo decent. The biggest problem I found was the lookspeed, where bioshock absolutely hit the mark this game struggles. But the invasion scene is awesome.

I guess once it's cheaper I'm might buy it, a light heartet shooter can't hurt.

I tried the first 5 min of the demo and had to turn it off. Great premise but gameplay was clumsy and aiming was horrible. And i diddnt get one ounce of satisfaction in killing an enemy.

It was ok. I can see myself buying it for $15.00 .
One thing that did throw me off was why the fuck all these buff men weren't in the draft. I hope they explain that one, although I'm sure the storyline just says Pearl Harbor never happened so America never entered the war.

Oh and I like the pokeball fire alarm. Gotta catch 'em all!. Nazimon!!!

I was sitting through the opening invasion thinking that this should feel like the crash landing that started Bioshock, or the scripted events of COD4... but instead it just felt like I wanted to turn it off and play something else. Like Solitaire.... Great premise, but it just seems way undercooked.
I heard about this a while ago and have not heard anything new since. The premise sure does sound interesting though.
Too bad only the premise turned out to be good in the demo. I was excited for this game, but the sensitivity of the controls sucks and even adjusting it to high or low still made it hard to play.

The graphics are not very good. The environment does not seem interactive at all. It seems quite stale.

The A.I. is stupid. They like to wander out and get shot.

Oh well, maybe the developers will listen to the massive negative feedback, but I doubt they will do much if anything to fix it though.

Word. an epic fail. i cant believe they blew it on what could have been an amazing game. Thanks codemasters. thanks alot.

Reallly dissapointed as well. When I first read about it and saw screenshots, I thought they were going for the realistic graphics medal of honor type gameplay. It's way too cartoony and gives me the feeling of a generic shooter with generic nazis in it. Wasn't feeling the era at all.
The gameplay felt like nothing special with basic controls. Even the "special" moves like hand over hand on a beam or grappling with guys felt more tacked on than anything.

I'll def give it a rental, but it's not a definite purchase like it was before.
I also think the demo chose a poor level to use since most of it you are just getting down a building. They should have thrown you a middle level with recognizable landmarks and more challenge.

This was my first exposure to this game. That being said, I'm not impressed at all. I love how the nazi's just run right in front of my bullets.

Why did they have to make this game so poorly? This was a premise I could really have sunk my teeth into, and now nobody will ever make this game the way it should have been.
