I recently brought a pair of Turtle Beach Ear Force X2 headset for my 360. I followed the instructions and plugged in the Headset and I can hear the game sounds and I can hear the other people chatting but they can't hear me. I mean the little speaker icon doesn't even show up.

I made sure it was plugged into the controller and tried messing around with the switch on the cable and I am still not sure what is up. Can anyone help me? I really like the headset alot but this problem is getting annoying.

BUMP! People I really need help. I have searched over all the internet and I am about ready to send it back to get a replacement but before I do I would like to try and fix it.

well if you plugged in in correctly, call turtle beach customer support...maybe one of the wires connecting the speaker setup is broken..

did you check the mic volume level? That might be turned down a lot.

Sometimes mine doesn't get a good connection with the controller... are you using any type of controller skin? Also, make sure the other end of controller wire is completely pushed in, mine has a habit of getting stuck about half-way.

On a side note, all in all I love my X2 (I have the wired version)

You didn't turn the mic mute on, did you?

No I tried it both ways.

Or you can return it and wait for the X3 that comes out next week....but it IS $100. Just another option.

Yeah that is a good idea, I just don't have enough money.

Hmmm I will try that.

I cant help you with this problem but i have a problem w/ my set too. First off I cant hear anybody speak over xbl unless it really quiet (which it never seems to be in COD4 beta) and secondly if i move at all then the speakers get really staticy. Anybody else had either of these problems and maybe have a solution? I think what im gonna do is just send em back and get the new x3's that are coming out cause im really disappointed with the x2's so far.
Also, is it true that for the x2's you have to switch the AV inputs? I thought i saw somewhere on the boards that mentioned that.
I think that some of the early batches had the inputs reversed so that you had to connect red to white, and white to red or else you'll get sounds from the left through the right headphone and vice versa. Mine is like that but the fix is quite easy.

As for your static problems, I don't know. Do you have any other IR sources that might cause interference? Or a bright light behind the base unit? Or reflective surfaces like mirrors?

I cant hear anything through the right side of the x2 headset. Anyone have any info on having this fixed? I just got this as a gift and no receipt to return it.

Thanks.
